I bought an 8th of RKS in 1980 specifically because of the fascinatingly similar aroma to its namesake. My tolerance to cannabis has always been low and I can remember RKS was low potency but delicious.

About 4 years ago I picked up what I assume was the real sour, it was already variegating. I misdiagnosed the variegation as HLV and tossed the cut

Some people love football teams...I love Ace seeds catalogue. I wish my state would get its shit together. Only outlaws breed in Va. for the most part. No one is working with elite sativa crosses that I know of.

I love sativa and Ace seeds ROCKS. I was getting ideas for a killer cross listening to this. My most sativa creation is skunk#1 x Chocolope. Really nice highs and interesting phenos.

A lot of softball questions here mate... Kenneth advocates heavily for breeders to put patents on plants. Most IP on plants are a sham and are a blatent theft of plant genomics which belong to the WHOLE PLANET. The very first plant patent was issued in August 1931 to Henry Bosenberg (USA) for his climbing, ever-blooming rose. Among the Van Fleet roses purchased by Mr Bosenberg, one grew differently and thus a new variety had been "invented". The Journal of the Patent Office Society tells us that Mr Bosenberg swore under oath that he did nothing to originate the new variety. It simply had different growing habits that may be bred in to other varieties of climbing roses. You should have pressed Kenneth on this kind of corporate bullshit making its way in to the scene... where big capital and big pharma have quite literally taken it by the balls and I'm guessing a lot of money hungry "vertical integration" daddys money shitheads would love to put patents on your favourite cookies, runtz or whatever other mid shit is selling these days.

9:00 it would be also great if americans could define terms here and there slightly more, for example "gassy", usually I would think people mean "gasoline-y" because good Sour Diesel has sometimes a pronounced gasoline flavour. But then I see how all the German articles and KZbinrs translate "gassy" to "gas(ig)", which means vapor gas, natural gas and such things, and those smell worlds different than gasoline or diesel and would have never crossed my mind when describing flavours, doesn't gas in most forms like butane, propane, etc. smell more or less boring to bad?
@londiniumJbo13 күн бұрын
Yeah I too assumed Gassy to be Diesel/petrol like Sour D always in the past, but it does seems to be used to describe natural gas smells too nowadays,it is confusing.. Pablo's Cheese was an interesting strain that was like a natural gas smell along with the skunkyness and I have smelt similar base notes in a few modern US cuts.
@theboutiquegrower461712 күн бұрын
They’re misleading people on purpose at times and others it’s the wrong terminology. It’s simple gas is a smell so it’s part of the smell/flavor it’s not just good weed or “lung pressure”. There’s some that aren’t Gassy at all like Pink Kitty from LIT Farms. It’s Dank rotten fruit but not gas and hella pressure. Strong weed with a heavier pull that hits the lungs but not from the actual plant matter but from the heavy concentration of resin vs plant matter that hits your lungs. That’s not gas either but many would say stuff like that is gassy. No it isn’t. Much of the stuff they’ll say is gas is more cleaner related not the gasoline, diesel, kerosine to maybe terpentene type based that are true gas. It’s why true candy gas is not common at all. It’s actually rare and why we keep lookin for it. It’s not going out because there’s not enough of it fr fr.
