I watched a lot of Detectorists with my dad a few Christmases ago. He had seen it b we talked about it a lot after each episode. It was repeated over the Christmass period and we watched the first 3 series. Dad died a couple of years ago and watching it is still difficult for me. I hope to be able to again at some time

Fortunately old enough to have grown up with Maddy Prior, Sally Carr, Joan Jett.....and my biggest teenage voice crush Suzi Quatro. We didn't have TV, due to sanctions never knew what she looked like. But, fifty years later, Suzi has a very special safe corner in my heart, where she can kick off her boots, grab a guitar and rock until the cows come home. Suzi is part of who I am. Oh, and Kate Bush. The seventies had honest, unwoke rock, much better than the woke New Age "progressive" drivel of the 80's and 90's. Rockers are honest people.

Life in a Northern Town by The Dream Academy from 1985 is a tribute to Nick Drake. Great song and excellent band- their first album is really good, also containing the superb Love Parade. David Gilmour of Pink Floyd produced the album.

Wasn’t this literally in a KZbin documentary about Dutch dealers, they blurred their faces but one of them said he’d stashed a load of mdma in a gnome I’m sure of it 😂

I was lucky enough to first hear Nick Drake in the late 70s when I was nineteen and his music has stayed with me ever since I played his music to my son as well and he is a gifted guitarist too How lucky we are......
