Yes actually! I'm planning on doing all 3 weapons: Great Sword, Charge Blade, and Switch Axe to put everything I've learned into one final run! Beyond that, I'm considering making a recap of everything later down the line.

Yes! Doing a tackle into a jumping wide slash has a really high elemental modifier. And it scales based on what your charge is before the tackle, with a Lv. 3 having one of the highest elemental modifiers of any attack in the game! It's not very well known because the only in-game location that mentions this is one of those loading screen tooltips

Recently, I've been struggling to find more opportunities to hit Fatalis, and when I have Savage Axe active, it just adds on an extra layer of making sure I don't lose all my phials to the natural drain. Even though it's less than optimal damage, I feel like it gives me more freedom to focus on sneaking hits in. I may try to spend more time in Savage Axe, and that mostly comes down to finding times where I feel comfortable activating it with a good window to use it. That's why I still activate it on the head breaks. So it's not some advanced reason, it's just me struggling to get better at the weapon and monster! Thanks for the question!

@Tomservo520 ohh gotcha man yeah I understand, as a charge blade player myself especially against fatalis I find it hard sometimes with savage axe and the drainage. I find myself all charged up only to waste 3 files because I'm cone baiting.

That is the frostcraft bar that you can get from a certain monster armour set bonus that can give you more damage

Yes, as pointed out, that is the Frostcraft meter, which you can get by wearing 4 pieces of Velkhana armor. It slowly recharges while sheathed, and landing hits drains it. Your attacks deal increased damage based on how much meter is left.

@@Tomservo520do you find going for dragon damage easier than the opposing element for alatreon? Gonna help my friends with their first ever run of em

@@TheSticknstone2 It's definitely a strategy you could go for. I tried it a couple times, essentially using my Fatalis GS build on Alatreon, and I was unable to get a single elemental topple. It would probably work better if you actually build into dealing dragon elemental damage, but it's not something I've really tried. My opinion is that going for the actual elemental counter will give you the best shot of getting the topple sooner, giving some peace of mind for the rest of the cycle. Last thing you want is for Escaton to be coming up and you're panicking trying to get the topple. And of course, good luck with the run!

I appreciate the advice, and I tried using more sword mode in the CB run that just went live. I may have gone a bit overboard with it though, but it's all about balance. I definitely want to work in more single axe swings too!

Huh, I don't know how I didn't notice that when uploading. Thanks for bringing it up. I don't have any way to fix that now, as the audio got lost somewhere in recording, and the original source is gone because of how steam records things. I'll make sure to keep that from happening again in the future. Edit: it seems to have happened on #79 as well. That's so unfortunate, but now I know that can happen, so I can find a way to ensure it won't happen again.
