Thank you so much! Every time I make a video, I worry that it’s just so stupid and boring. I get tired of fishing videos that are just hooping and hollering. Figure I might as well take you guys for a walk down the boat ramp. 😂 Sure appreciate the kind words.

Definitely not my favorite time of year in the west. It came about a month early this year. It was nice to have a day of blue skies for once. Might even have to break out the telescope tonight.

All I can figure is that he had no idea I was even there. Even on the cast, it hit the water pretty smooth.

One of my favorite videos, Joe. I love how the carp is making a Kissyface. It’s crazy that they’ve shut areas down for the fire. I’m glad you had a good time.

Thanks, Trent! I was super excited that he landed plenty of fish that day. It’s always neat to see the joy on someone else’s face when they have success like that. I still wish we could’ve landed that lake trout a couple years ago.

@@prospectoroutdoors Any Fishing video is better than no video!! Caught a few trout (Brook, Cutthroat, and Rainbow) at Meadowlark a couple of weeks ago. Hopper Dropper (brown and yellow hopper, Black Ant dropper) and it was 50/50 on which fly they wanted. No room to cast, so I got to practice my roll casting for a couple of hours. 👍

@yamati150 sounds like a great time! That’s why I don’t fly fish much. I’m always getting tangled up and I don’t have the patience for it sometimes.

Basically mile markers. I believe that means we were 37 miles from the dam. It’s kind of a long lake with very few canyons. www.nps.gov/bica/images/Bighorn-Canyon-Boating-Map_2.jpg
@FishfearmeStudios17 күн бұрын
I thought that first fish was your lure. I have a hard time believing you could ever run out of plastics. What was that sign that said 37 on the cliff all about? That place is a smallmouth factory. Hugh was definitely spoiled.

Reminds me of salmon fishing in Alaska. Cool cabin. We used to pick asparagus off the canal banks, so tasty. Bucketlist fish, they are cool looking. That was spooky-watching them free float.

Thanks buddy! I agree with you. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to have a boat on a river like that. Knowing my luck, the motor wouldn’t start and I would be swimming with the fish.

It’s definitely a different way to try to get a fish out of the water. I must admit that my faith was wavering. I’ll have to try it again sometime and see if we can move a mountain or walk on the water. As soon as the guy told me, they built a cabin out of Cottonwood trees, I had to see it and jumped in his truck five minutes after meeting him. Good times!

Learned something, paddlefish are interesting critters! The cabin was cool and the storytelling was awesome with all the stuff around, like the asparagus (random 😂) saw mill. (Pretty innovative with the truck frames)
