In my case the program can only be cancelled when there is no ‘Add’ sign onscreen. If you want to cancel a program that has just started and you stop the program, the machine lets you add more clothes and an ‘Add’ sign appears onscreen. To cancel the program definitely, simply press run and go ahead. When program starts and ‘Add’ disappears, then move the knob to power off, wait a few seconds, and then move the knob back to the program you were running. Program will be reset and cancelled. It took ages for me to discover that the ‘Add’ status makes impossible any cancel or reset.

My fridge is an old Miele I can’t set the temperature for a very hot day, and the fridge is icing up.

Does anyone else find that the door flap does not connect on one side - the knobby bit does not go in the hole, but it does close okay? You will only know what I’m talking about if your flap does the same.

Why not tell people to also wipe out the “tunnel” that the filter comes out off? Mine was grey with fabric fluff and there’s also a little hole on the right of the tunnel that brings the water in and I cleaned that out with my finger!

I have been using Miele vacuums for over 25 years. I am on my third Miele, just because my family keep dropping them down the stairs and pulling them by the flex. However, the Comfort C2 that I purchased in August 2023 will not allow me to remove the bag once it has clipped in. I have had to prise the plastic parts aside with a screwdriver to allow a gap to pull the bag out, risking snapping the holder. I bought a different type of bag (not Miele made) which does allow ease of removal, but now I have discovered that it allows dust to enter the cavity in the machine. Frankly, I am disappointed! Some change has been made by Miele to the design of the bag holder or to the bag clip, or both, AND IT IS NOT WORKING!

Ok, our maintenance guy just demonstrated how to cancel a program on our Miele Twindows W1 Excellence, and it actually worked. I thought we tried everything and it was driving met NUTS! But here it is: 1. The program you want to cancel is running. Turn the knob to OFF. 2. Wait a little bit (10 seconds maybe?). 3. Turn the knob back to the exact program that was running. 4. Now the screen shows you the option to cancel. As easy as that. Can't believe how this never turned up before (or how this is not in the manual). Probably because we always first stopped the machine by holding the 'start' touch-screen-button.. which is actually just for opening the door and then putting some extra stuff in. So: don't do that, just use the knob.

How come in Ireland they have the year 1980 model lol. Mine from 2015 has a clean digital display only 😅

Miele is a solid brand. But don't be lured into believing that all products last for 20 years with minimal servicing. I have purchased several Miele appliances over the years including a Miele Tumble Dryer. At £2200 it was significantly more expensive than all of the rest of the available dryers on the market. Full disclosure, I bought a Miele Washing Machine in 2014. It had a 10 year parts and labour warranty. The dryer only had a two-year warranty. Two months after the warranty expired, the dryer started leaking. Two service visits later, I was told a pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The repair and parts cost over £350. The last technician said it was the first pump he'd replaced on this machine in all his time at Miele. With this in mind, and aware of Miele's reputation for building quality long-lasting products, I proposed to Miele that they waive the invoice. After all, it was just after the warranty, but only two years into my "twenty years of reliability." Miele would not play ball at all and insisted the bill needs to be paid. £2550 is an awful lot of cash to be spending on a tumble dryer, when Bosch offer a heat pump tumble dryer for £500. Customer Service were not helpful at all. Just be mindful that good products do go wrong, don't expect Miele to stand by their 20 years of reliable service claims.

Just got Miele no matter what setting I put it on normal, bedding, denim, after it senses it goes to 25 minutes. Nothing dries in 25 minutes so then I have to put it on the time cycle in order to dry the clothes. Somebody told me that maybe it's the moisture sensor that could be faulted. I called for service, but if anybody has any ideas, I'll be happy to listen?

To close the lid did you press a button on the side? My lid is stuck open.

I cannot believe how much money I spent on my miele washer/dryer and they are not any better than my whirlpool I had before. Save your money
