Daniel holding Vala after her resurrection: First time? Hugs help, come here. They are so good together. I feel bad Sha're had to die, but Vala was the one Daniel truly needed.

One of my favorite lines was right after the last scene was cut off, when Spock said, "I'm finished with the furnace." Edith adds, "*Captain*. Even when he doesn't say it, he does."

the touches part at the end makes me think you'd appreciate this: i tallied how many times they touch throughout the series (+ movies) and it totaled 1015, with spock having 575 and jim having 440 there is a spreadsheet

9:51 not enough people are talking about this scene. Holy shit. From Spock, that is like a declaration of love. I don't know how Kirk managed to stop himself from making out with Spock right then and there

3:15 Honestly my headcanon here is that Spock's using the contact from the grip kirk has on his arm to shore up kirk's mental shields so that he can get a hold of himself.

1:55 with no context of the actual scene having not seen the original show much, it looks like he lost a game of rock paper scissors and proceeds to have a complete emotional breakdown.

I've linked this to my tumblr 9 years ago and rewatch it often. I was scared af when the link was gone, but I was able to find it here. I was never more relieved to find a video again! It's my favourite Trek fanvideo. You think its funny in the beginning, bc celine right, adn then it kicks you and just. you really know how to pick the scenes perfectly! I'm showing two new friends TOS atm, and when its time they will get this beautiful video :)

I've just watched the movie and wanna share an interesting detail, which is easy to forget if you haven't seen the movie for a while. in the previous scene Marge told Ripley that Dickie used to sing Valentine to her as he was making a pass at her. Ripley is imitating Dickie's own strategy to try to impress him. I think that's a very cool detail which adds to the scene and makes it quite creepy.
