I will never forget a neighbor home from Viet Nam. He was trying to visit. At the end he said , imitating an announcer, "during the taping of this show, over 3000 boys died in Viet Nam." My folks were stunned but kind to him as he went home. It changed them

First RIP TOMMY! Second they were one of the most if not the most original acts that ever existed! Their comedy was so fantastic and their timing was a thing of beauty! One has to think a long time to think of any act that came close to them! You can't and that again was their pure genius!

Tom and Dick Smothers were the best ever. Funny, irreverent, intelligent, and refused to be muffled. I miss them so much. There has never again anyone like them, but if another pair rose up, I would love it.
