Thank you . I appreciate you subscribing. Now when my neighbors see me talking to myself in the garden at 6 am I can explain why. I enjoy doing this and I'm glad others enjoy.

Thank you. They go quick once they get started. It's my first time growing melons. I've done pumpkins, but these are more fun somehow.

no one harvests sweet potatoes after 90 days. for max harvest of large fat sweet potatoes, you should harvest after 5-6 months. this is from personal experience.

I think like 9 or 10. I wanted to see what would happen with so many. I had 5 plants in a large bed and did much better there.

Well done loyal and faithful servant that extra-large container sweet potatoes harvested . Happy Fall Days
Why are the rocks in the bed? Do they prevent pests from getting at the plant roots? 😊
@gregzornek77129 ай бұрын
Yes, squirrels would explore in there in the same spots. Also they add support to the base of the tomato cages as they are stacked together and over 6 ft tall

This is my first time watching. You did good. Thanks for the experiment. You proved that you can get sweet potatoes from potatoes without doing the water soak in a jar to grow slips first. Question is, would the in-a-jar method yield larger sweet potatoes? Thanks for sharing.
@gregzornek77129 ай бұрын
This was my first year growing them. I way over planted these in the container. 😅 I had about 1/2 the amount planted in a larger raised bed and got 4x more yield. Even there they were to close. I bought 2 packs of 6 slips each from Home Depot. Next year I will allow a 12 inches between plants and 36 inches between rows. However I will do them in this pot next year, but only 2 slips. I did like 8 here. Thanks for watching!
