Do not understand why people think this is so cool! The ice melting that fast is not a good thing. Some forms of life will suffer greatly without the ice. People can be so clueless just to get a thrill.

Calving of ice in summer is a natural phenomenon and will always happen, global warming or not. And I guess its a spectacular sight.

I think a few people commenting don't realise that it's not all global warming at play. Glacier calving is a natural process. Yes, global warming would affect the rate of calving, but even if there was no global warming they would still calve.

I think it's a mixture of a certain level of ignorance and a good chunk of the Dunning-Kruger effect said ignorance usually nurtures.

Yes it does look awesome, but it's really sad to see glaciers calving , and sad to ear peoples laughing

Glaciers have been doing this since the first glacier formed. Calving is not a sign of global warming. The rate at which it happens might be more of a point of argument, but the fact of it is not.

Some calving is part of glacial life cycles but we are losing our glacial ice much too rapidly. Very heartbreaking.
