I am not Ethiopian but fell in love with it's food many years ago in college from my Amharic friend. Too bad Addis on Telegraph changed ownership. The previous menu was our favorite for over 10 years. Their zilzil tibs, quanta firfir, gomen, and shiro wot were all delicious. The new Addis menu was not that great but luckily we have other Habesha eateries to try here in the Bay. Amesegenado 😀

I saw an ethiopian cook book where the writer of the cookbook said she uses 1 day of caramelizing the onions and making small portions in separate bags and freezing and when it's time to cook doro wat just thaw out the onions and proceed from there saves time.

Thanks for sharing the video. Was this the same day after you fly in? We are going to Ethiopia next month but have a very tight schedule. I am trying to figure out if we could make a trip to Lalibela for 2 days and 1 night, which means landing around noon and flying out late morning the next day. Did you use a guide where you were there?

We have a house 15 minutes from the factory in Taizz, Yemen. In fact, I was eating some when I searched YT and came across this video. The ones I eat always had more cream in them (in the US)
