Great video. However I noticed the Delognhi Machines nozzle tubes for coffee, steam and milk froth are made of plastic. And they will say it's a food grade plastic of course BUT the concern of plastic in contact with super hot beverage is real! So the questions is are there any studies proving no chemical are leaking in the beverages ???

Hi! Well, I have not notice about any study about that, however Delonghi it is a big global brand that makes quality products, so I can imagine that the kind of plastic they use are more that prepare to support that kind of temperatures. Regards!

set best grinder to value? they all have between 4-4.5 max 5. Model rivelia.

Try to do it in that way. Swith on the machine, select de the coffee function as shown on the video and when everything it is ready add the coffee with the spoon. If you add the coffee before swithching on the machine the machine starts the autocleanning process and the coffee is wasted. Please, try it as we menthion and tell us if that works. Regards!

Unfortunatelly not, this coffee machine is not able to prepare Hot Chocolate. In fact, as far as I know, no one of this kind of superautomatic coffee makers are able to prepare it. So sorry. 🤷🏻♂️

I bought five different Delonghi odels, All broke down or there was somthing wrong with them, until I bought the Delonghi Dynamica Plus, I am at peace now. Works like clock. Need to find out how to use pre-grounded stuff though.

stick with a pannarello and simple 22110 style delonghi, makes all the coffees in the world without complications and the dail gives you fine control.

I got the 3300 today and I’m super disappointed on the quality of the espresso. Very watery with hardly no crema. Tried 2 different beans, difgrinds etc and still very watery for some reason.

Have you tried adjusting the grind size of the coffee using the dial inside the coffee bean tray? If you turn it clockwise, you'll achieve a finer grind and a more intense espresso. Keep in mind, though, that this should be done while the grinder is running, midway through the coffee preparation. Also, remember that the machine takes a few coffees to become fully calibrated. Hopefully, with these adjustments, you can find a coffee that suits your taste. Best regards!

Hi! How do you feel this compares to the Rivelia in terms of milk based drinks? Been reading that the Rivelia makes good micro foam but not sure if it’s the same for the Delonghi Magnifica Plus

How's the temperature of the coffee/milk on the Rivelia? I'm thinking of buying one but was put off by some reviewers saying it's not as hot as they'd like it to be. No problems with max settings?

I'm torn between the Rivelia and the Dinamica Plus (around $200-300 difference for me in Singapore) as a first machine - I've been Nespresso for 15 years. I do mainly milk based coffees like Caps and Lattes and my son does hot chocolates. As a family we do 3-4 cups of coffees a day. What do you think?

If you usually drink decaffeinated coffee, I think the option with the Rivelia’s reservoir system is very interesting. However, if that doesn’t appeal to you, the Dinámica is more versatile. Regards!

I just bought this and it has amazing features but I had to make about 20 coffees before the coffee stopped being weak and watery. Philips doesn’t tell you this anywhere.

My first few espresso shots were very weak (more than 20). After closely looking at the grinds going into the chamber, I noticed very few were dropping in. After I turned the grinds adjustment back and forth and pulled up a bit on the top of the grinder, it made perfect espresso shots. It was like the grinder needed loosening, not a calibration. Machine has been working well and making great coffees and cacao using the manual scoop.

Hi I added preground coffee when the machine is off but it should be added when machine is on. While doing coffee, I added one scoop more when it's on cause machine request it. Does it harm to machine? What can I do to clean it?

Hi! Yes, I know it seems strange, but since the new range of Philips coffee machines now includes the "Cold Brew" functionality, the Americano coffee has disappeared from the menu. You always have the option to make an espresso and then press the hot water button to prepare an Americano to your liking. Another option would be to buy the previous model, the 3200. As for the 3300, it's true that it doesn't include the Cold Brew and Silent Brew options, but it's always an alternative. We hope we've helped you with your questions. So I’m going to have to go with the 4400 which has both and more coffee settings than I really need. Where I am it is on sale for $799.

Both machines are quite similar, but the 5500 some small extras. 5500 can prepare 20 recipes (4400 just 12), 5500 can memorize 4 different profiles (4400 just 2) and function extra shot is exclusive of 5500 in all Philips Range. Oh, I’m sorry, it seems I was reading it wrong. The differences between the 5400 and the 5500, which is the newer model, are that the latter additionally includes the Silent Brew system and is 40% quieter according to Philips. It allows you to make cold brew-style coffee, has a Quick Start function to start brewing coffee faster, and can make more intense coffee with the extra shot function.
