I understand the concept of how white light is split in a single raindrop to produce the spectrum. If each raindrop produces a 'mini' rainbow, can you explain how all these millions of mini-rainbows, which are in front, behind, on-top and below each other combine to form the single typical rainbow? Also if you line up hundreds of glass prisms, in front, behind above and below each other will you get a single spectrum? If not why?
