11:18 MISA channeling her inner Les Claypool, Akane and Miku getting arena rock, Mincho wah, blues, and tapping, chugging slap goodness..... and then Play!!!!!

7:10 I'm not sure if Mincho created this beautiful piece, but it reminds me of the best Trent Reznor (NIN) deep cuts e.g. A Warm Place, The Frail, Adrift & At Peace, and a lot of Ghosts. It's so melancholic in a gorgeous way, sweet and sour, sad but hopeful. Underrated interlude nonetheless.

0:01, 2:38, 6:00, 14:55, and 17:51 Can't deny Akane and MISA aren't one of the best rhythm sections in all of modern rock. It's a total different vibe I know, but I bet the late saint Neil Peart and the legendary Geddy Lee would approve.

Thanks! I love the creativity of Akane's drumming. For example in Shake That: the differently-accented 16ths (2nd measure) and off-beat snare hits (measure 6). There are plenty of drummers who impress me with their invariable speed, but only a few who explore the possibilities of rhythm.

Thank you for your comment. As you say, this solo has a lot of her charm, especially bars 2 and 6, where she uses her signature polyrhythmic technique of grouping 16th notes into 3. What makes her solos great, of course, is her technique, but also her structure, with its introduction, development, turn, and conclusion, and the variety of phrase ideas.

The best intro they ever did was "No God" at TGT. They sound f#@king fantastic and Kobato is on equal ground with the other three. It rocks so hard.
