i am transgender, "male to female", 36 years old. born in Russia, now living in Thailand, thank goodness. i was feeling these things already as a kid, but it never occured to me as a valid option until... i was already 36. because of the lack of information and the widespread stigma. trying to live as a cis guy has cost me more than twenty years of depression, often really freaking severe. also, multiple health problems - cuz i couldn't care less about that body that i couldn't like. a few times i might have actually died because of those problems. if it weren't for those medical professionals, i wouldn't be here. which might not bother you, i guess? but i consider myself just as worthy of life as any other human being. forgive my arrogance. i could've had a happy youth as myself if i had received appropriate information and gender affirming care as a kid. i didn't. because instead i was indeed indoctrinated by the hateful traditionalism you seem not to have much of an issue with. i don't know how much life i have left. but i am happy to finally be living it as myself, trying to undo the damage to my health and appearance. i can only live as myself with grey hair and wrinkles now. i never got to enjoy my youth, and it is gone. as if i had served time - more than two decades - for... what exactly? what was my crime? i have seen that i am very far from being alone in all that. lots of people have had it even worse than me. so my question is, do we count as fully human to you? are we worthy of happiness? of life? of authentic life?

i'm thinking about the same problems, yes... especially the war and rise of fascists. but it's good that more people are finally beginning to see this threat - which has been growing for many many years. perhaps enough people could wake up in time to stop it?
