Are there any other ways to study Bio Markers besides using blood ? Like using Hair, Nail or the electrical energy we give off ?

Interesting about human milk vs human milk replacer and vaginal birth vs surgical birth. Are there studies on giving the mother antibiotics during labor for group B strep? How might antibiotics given to the mother during labor (or earlier in pregnancy) affect the newborn infant's bacteria's development? Antibiotics are routinely used on laboring mothers with GBS as if there are no negative effects, but is that the case? Do we know that there are no negative effects? I have some doubts...

Hi, I guess I could say I have all of the above including insomnia but I was doing very well till I got married and the marriage started to go south (enter major stress). Stress and anxiety/depression are insidious with the solution to the cause of the symptoms putting one into a "Catch 22". Working in it though. A question. One physician I talked to reccomend a drug for ADHD. I mentioned the insomnia but she said the half life was short and should not be that much of a problem. What do you think? P.S. presently separated, the majority source of the stress is gone but difficult to get off the roller coaster. Anyhow, very interesting. Thanks.

what was your major source of stress? Getting rid of depression can be tough since you also internalized the feeling. If it is possible try to do something new that you can deal with. Something which makes you feel better and that you can hang on to.

Hey. This was instructional. I've been trying to research for a KZbin video like yours that teaches the ideas in this video. 👩‍⚕️ 🧑🏻‍⚕️Your breakdown actually reminds me of the content from this educational Dr Ethan. Doctor Ethan's tips are useful and he actually helped me a lot on midterms. I suggest you check his channel out and give the med student a subscribe over here! ➡️ #DrEthanCare

I watched until 11:21 - then comes the testing on animals... i am vegan and we should not disrespect animals just because they are smaller/weaker than us! Use humans to research science.

Stick through it and after 20 minutes it gets pretty good. I am vegan too. But don't let one perspective on ethics prevent you from learning about something that you can apply in your life for your own benefit.

Are you also looking into the possibility of an external cause for depression. Particularly a side effect of a prescription medication.

What, if anything, can PET scans tell us about depression?
@thecan-bindprogram7786
@thecan-bindprogram7786 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question, Shelley, Dr. Sakina Rizvi, from CAN-BIND says the following: "PET scans are unique in that they give us an opportunity to take a closer look at what is happening in the brain on a cellular level in real time. Because of this, PET scans have shown how various neurotransmitter systems function in the brain of a depressed individual, information that could otherwise only be collected in animal studies. "
