I used to fish it as a kid. Was guaranteed to get a flounder. Never had bass back then. Im going down this week for some lure fishing. Nice to see my old local on youtube.

Hi, a slack line bite is when a fish dislodges the lead when taking the bait. This causes the line to go loose, meaning the tip will spring back to the straight position and the line will no longer be tight. This will give a visible bite indication, hopefully this helps explain it. Cheers for watching 🎣🎣🎣🎣

I can see the Orwell bridge from my living room window but I am ashamed to say that I have never fished there. Perhaps I’ll give it a go this summer. Thanks for the video, it’s always nice to see someone fishing somewhere that you know 🐟.

Nice session under the bridge Matt. Fished there almost 60 years ago and started to go again a couple of years ago. There's plenty of marks to fish on the Orwell and Stour and I've been to a couple this year.

Hi Matty, I’ve always found Shingle Street fishes better for the rays on the ebb. Also as usual the night tides seem to be best.

Hour and half either side of high has always been the golden time for me for the rays, sometimes they hang about on the ebb as it gets dark. Glad I'm not the only one to notice doggies arrive around the same time. Glad your back making vids again

I stopped using fruit and nut on the top lake as all I had was bream 😂

On my list to get Method works well in winter but match types use very accurately all year round Carp under 10lbs home in on the noise ,,,,,,,,,, the doubles move away !

Hello mate, not huge I'd say mid 20's, beautiful looking fish though

I was there east end of east st car park,10am-3pm caught 7 black bream 6@ 14oz and 1@ 12 oz on squid tipped rag.All fish caught between midday and 2.30 pm. Was quie a tide rip even with 200g grippers.Used sise 2 + 4 circle hooks.Miss3d loads of bites most fish self hooked themselves
