Nothing about the MC floating between houses makes any kind of systematic sense. Its an artificial and very fabricated meaning seeking but ultimately meaningless idea of having the MC be interpreted for being in different houses. Its meaning is FUNDAMENTALLY 10th house oriented. Separating it from the 10th house has no justification other than convenience for simple minded approaches who reject anything complex. The genius of the quadrant system is in its uneveness and all that tells us about life on earth.

I've got my Sun, Moon, Ascendant and Mars all in Leo. Sun and Mars in the 12th, Moon and Ascendant in the first. I make music. Guitar and piano come naturally to me.
