I was savouring each dish through my eyes from the masterful filming to the stunning presentation of each dish. Love the palette dish to add the sauces to…my mind immediately thinks of world renowned artists… that in itself is a compliment to the restaurant thinking of those details and for you picking them up!!!! And I would be remiss if I didn’t say Duuuuuuck!!!! Looked delicious lol

Wow! A tootsie pop reference. Great metaphor! I wonder if millennials even know what that is. Do they even make them anymore? At any rate, I spent a year in San Francisco. We never ate it pallette but I always wanted to go. That lobster Har Gow looks amazing, as does the honey walnut shrimp Another great video! It would be wonderful if you would ever care to share about your culinary background and your restaurant experience . I would be very interested.

I have been in Vegas over 30 years now. the Bootlegger is pretty good. But the old Capozzoli's on Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn was the best place in town. hands down. its where old Vegas went to eat Italian, the walls were covered with pick of the rat pack, and the famous headliners of the strip back in the day. the food was spectacular. The original owner retired and sold it back in the late 90s, the food went downhill, and it unfortunately burned down in 2007. Capozzoli's had the best lasagna I have ever eaten. Bootlegger is really good, but Capo's was better. I would also Highly recommend Ventano's out on Horizon Ridge and Arroyo Grande in Henderson. one of my favorite Italian dishes is an Oso Buco. the one at Farros is good and so is the one at Sinatra, the one at bootlegger doesn't even qualify to be called an Oso Buco. was very disappointed in it. it was like thin cut medallions with a bone in it. every restaurant has something that is great and something that is just not right. and at boot legger it the Oso Buco that just wrong. however, everything else I have had there is pretty good. and my wife love the calamari, and I will definitely go back, I just won't be ordering the Oso Buco.
@LetsEatVegas
@LetsEatVegas Күн бұрын
Agreed, many restaurants have only a single dish on which to hang their hat. Bootlegger has more than a single dish but I totally agree with you about the Calamari. I didn't get the ossobuco but I believe what you're saying. I did get the Lasagna and it was pathetic and we noted that in our video. I have a 'best of' Italian video coming out soon. i won't spoil the drama, but I think you'll agree with my ordering and the top dog. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Kudos to you for your videography and commentary! I follow all the LV bloggers, from Tim Lee, Norma, Ruby, Matthew, Dan, to Danny the Medic. I love the time you take in your videography to display the food in such a wat that I can taste it, same for your attention to detail in describing the food! The only negative is that all the food you sample, you have nothing but praises for everything! I have eaten over 100 times at a buffet and there is no way that every bite was amazing! In this case, with Anthony's brunch I will have firsthand knowledge on October 6th and judge for myself. On the plus side, you join Tim Lee as my favorite KZbin content creator's! Looking forward to watching all your content!

Thank you! It's great to get such feedback from someone who knows so much about the LV reviewers! I think you're going to love Anthony's Prime especially the lobster, carving station, and DESSERTS, 😋😋. I'm surprised to hear you say we praise every dish in all our videos. Agreed, there are some reviews where everything we had was very good, but in most of our reviews there always at least one or two dishes we feel weren't that good and we say so. We also have a Worst 5 of Vegas video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHjKhqupfZJ9qtU as well as a 'Bellagio Buffet has fallen' video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnnHmKyKh7lsfK8 We also got a lot of criticism about our review of Esther's Kitchen because people thought we were too negative: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXmxnqyEn9edl5Y Anyway, thought you might find those interesting to watch! @@LetsEatVegas Haha it wasn't meant as a criticism. More like: I wish you had been doing this longer. Couple of things I really appreciate: You actually explore a vast majority if not the WHOLE menu in your reviews. You also have some of the best close ups I've seen in food reviews, especially the cross sections. You also highlight some places that may have gotten a "lower" yelp score but are still VERY GOOD. My wife and I visit once or twice a year for 2-3 days at a time and its HARD to figure out where to go. Thank you

You have such an incredible way with words! That is exactly exactly the reason why you are my favorite Vegas KZbinr. As a chef, if your dishes were as creatively brilliant as the way you express yourself, well…. I promise I am not a sycophant…. I just appreciate all of the poetic nuances. You don’t have to answer this, but I am guessing you have to script that because otherwise, if you can just articulate this way, in an impromptu manner, I might have to hate you.😜 I may just have to put this on my must try list. Seven days is not enough to try all of these Amazing restaurants. But that noodle dish, the crispy one, is causing my mouth to water, so thanks for that…. By the way, I’m absolutely sure this is TMI, and I’m going to share anyway. I tried hot pot for the first time because I live in Podunk USA and they finally got a hot pot restaurant! I was so excited to try it, but between being fraught with anxiety due to a 90 minute time limit, and ADHD, I was truly in fight or flight mode. Needless to say, (then why say it? 😜) it was not a pleasant experience experience. Oh, and it was their first week. Our server also spilled hot broth on, my daughter, and proceeded to dump a glass of diet Dr Pepper on her! when I asked daughte if she was OK, the server blurted out , “oh no she’s fine!, “And did not let my daughter answer…. Wow. I am certainly off on a rabbit trail because of course I am the center of your universe and you have all the time in the world to read comments that are more akin to short novels!😜 So, to make a short story longer and more boring, …. My daughter and I understood or at least I attributed her, “insensitive “comment to the fact that it is her first week. Plus, she was probably fraught with her own anxiety. Then to spill hot water on a customer, and then a cold soda, she must’ve been internally, combusting with freaked outness (yes, I make up words sometimes. Sorry, not sorry?) to the nth degree! I was already in the thick of it, trying to navigate too many sauces (a crime of my own volition, I might add) I’m a catalyst…so sue me! (Again, sorry not sorry but I am a Broadway nerd which absolutely shows my age because this is a “guys and dolls” reference. Never mind. Why am I sharing this? I have absolutely no idea. Well, partially it’s because you elicit this kind of openness, inadvertently , and would never knowingly open the door to this kind of crazy! Oh, and did I mention that prior to Covid when I had at least a modicum of health, I was a therapist. Unconventional? A lil’ bit…. A bit of an iconoclast? Absolutely … I was caught between wanting to protect my daughter, (who is fine, by the way. She’s a real champ.) and wanting to protect the server and make her feel better! Again, of my own volition, this exacerbated, my anxiety, and finally, I cried on the way home!! (I warned you that this was going to be TMI…😬😁) I guess the reason why I’m sharing this is that I would love to hear your perspective. I watch, “The Bear , “I know you have one!” Seriously, though. How might I have better handled the situation? I respect and value your input.. again, not a sick Aunt…. oh, voice to text, I love you. Why do you hate me? I repeat, not a.sycophant…… If you have made it this far, thanks for “listening.“ However, again, no expectations…. 😁😜🤟💜

Oh. PS. I am old and blind in one eye. And, consequently, I really suck at technology and have spent way too long trying to edit this, so one last, “sorry, not sorry… I am working on not apologizing for every single thing… If you are still reading this, I both applaud you and feel sorry for you 🤣 You have made it this far! Bravo! 🙏👏👏👏 Anyway, my final comment , (I really mean it this time!) I’m not going to go back and edit. Not because I don’t want to, but I apparently can’t navigate texting or commenting either! Oh well. I have other strengths. But thank you in advance for not judging… At least that’s what I am going to tell myself!

Sorry to hear about what happened to your daughter. Having owned and operated a restaurant for many years this type of thing happens and usually the server doesn't know what to do (especially if the restaurant is very busy) and behave in strange ways. Really, a manager should have come over to chat with you and make things right. But again, being a new place, they were probably in over their heads and running around crazily. Thanks for the kind words about our narration. We do put a lot of thought into what we say so as to best convey what we experienced during our visit. @@LetsEatVegas 6:23 HK Crispy Noodle and 13:43 Brisket Noodle Soup
@LetsEatVegas
@LetsEatVegas 7 күн бұрын
Thank you for listing the times. This is an interesting topic. I don't remember about the Brisket Noodle Soup, but for the Crispy Noodle dish I remember not recognizing the greens in it and asking our server. He told me it was Bok Choy. It didn't look like the Bok Choy I'm used to seeing, and once it's cooked into a dish it's not easy to discern a flavor difference, but I'm not an expert in all possible greens used in Chinese food and so I wasn't going to argue with the employee of the restaurant. So, when this comment came in I was confused. I called the restaurant this morning and asked them if the HK Crispy Noodle dish contained Bok Choy. They said YES. I pushed them and told them of the comments on here and they then said, "well, yes, it's choy sum, we don't use bok choy in any of our dishes, but the difference is so trivial that we don't usually mention it and just say it's bok choy since few are familiar with choy sum". Pretty amazing. Anyway, glad to know about this and I'm going to go buy some choy sum this week so I can taste it raw and see how it compares to bok choy. I'll let you know how that goes as maybe a lot of our viewers may not know the difference and how they compare to one another. It may make for a good topic on one of our Member's only videos. We'll see.

Interesting that someone so persnickety to go to the trouble of noting a small discrepancy in our review would then proceed to misspell 'bok choy' as 'bAk choy'. You'll see that right after the 8th word in your comment. Anyway, thanks for supporting our channel...every comment helps us grow, 😁.
