just got a 2024 wrx rs (rs=tr in canada), its my first manual car and i just wanted to know when would it be most optimal to shift for fuel econ as well as power? I usually try to keep revs down at 2k or 2.5 when costing in gear for fuel econ (currently at 11.6L/100km) typically i shift 1st-2ed at 15kmh 2ed-3ed at 36km 3ed-4th at 46km 4th-5th at 56km and 6th at around 70km+ (off the line i start at 1.5k rpm if its flat, and 2k rpm on a hill) for power i just red line it 🤷♂

Because the car in this video isnt octane learnt (max boost was only 15psi) my experience has been you won't get as much wheel hop as when it is learnt. Case in point i got a lower purple bushing on mine and it basically eliminated wheel hop when unlearnt. However when i later learnt the car (max boost around 17-19 psi), the wheel hop returned due to the higher power output. The best thing to eliminate wheel hop is to launch the car with 'care' and don't be so ham fisted. A bit of finesse goes a long way especially in 1st gear. Not easy to resist the habit or temptation to just mash the go pedal though.

Will 18x9.5 +38 wheels with 255/40 tires fit the car with stock suspension and fender flares?

What's the advantage of the additional piping vs straight out the back like rift? Sounds good.

I drive up my driveway the same way you demonstrated its the backing out I'm having a problem with my brand new car. Your video shows what i doing wrong. I was backing all the way down before turning my wheels at an angle scraping the front of my car. So now i know what to do. Thank you so much.

It looks really good! Well done AFD! I wonder if more customers would've liked their VB to come like that from the factory. Also, the timelapse of Jeff N' Jerry putting the car back together was dope!
