The Baby's were great! My band in High school was rehearsing at a studio and in one room was the Babys, I heard them play Sweet 17, which is a badass song and my band did it for an encore and also got to meet the band! In the other room was my guitar teacher's band Quiet Riot with Randy just shredding with an amp that should have sounded like a piece of crap, but Randy was a master of the guitar! Anyway, I don't usually comment on anything that uses HAIR as their title or name! It's a put-down to the best time in metal and Music in general! Loose the Hair thing, and get your fixed! I had great hair, so I can say this!

I love the Babys. Highly underrated band. John Waite’s voice still makes me melt 45 years later. I looked forward to Midnight Special every week. It was one of the few chances to see bands as there was no MTV.

Fun fact...Jonathan Cane brought a semi finished song to John to see if they would record it. John said no to sappy...that song was called Faithfully and became on of Journey biggest hits when Steve Perry put his fingerprints on it...

Play "My Friends Over You" "My Friends Over You" I’m drunk off your kiss For another night in a row This is becoming too routine for me But I did not mean to lead you on And it’s all right to pretend That we still talk It’s just for show, isn’t it It’s my fault that it fell apart Just maybe You need this And I didn’t mean to Lead you on You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There’s no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I still pick my friends over you (My friends over you) Please tell me everything, That you think that I should know About all the plans you made When I was nowhere to be found And it’s all right to forget That we still talk Its just for fun, isn’t it It’s my fault that it fell apart Cuz maybe you need this And I didn’t mean to Lead you on You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There’s no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I still pick my friends over you (My friends over you) Just maybe you need this You need this… And I didn’t mean to Lead you on You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There’s no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I still pick my friends over you

facebook.com/MichaelCorbyOfficialMusicArtistSite/ This Host forgot to mention that The Babys was founded by Michael Corby (Guitarist/Keyboardist) in 1973. The facts behind his being 'asked'' to leave the band are on the www now. No one can be 'asked to leave' or 'fired' if they were not hired in the first place. Think about it. The facts in this video are grossly incorrect. It was not John Waite's band when the 'asking' occurred. Waite was discovered by Corby with Corby's Business Partner/Manager, who hired Waite.

I truly admire the fact that they are the only musicians who actually sound better at live performances that they do at the recorded songs.

saw 'The Baby's' at the Omni movie theater in D.C. waaaaaay back in the day when they were just starting to get some airplay. Lucky to make it out of there with my life! I never understood why they didn't get a lot bigger than they did. Reminds me of the Fixx. Had a number of hits...just never took off!

The Baby's were great. I still have the Head First single with Every Time I Think Of You on the B-side. I bought it at Musicland when I was 10 years old in 1978. I love their name and the way they spelled it. The Babies would've been lame.
