I owned a GT380 Suzuki once. Some SOB stole it. It was a nice bike to ride, comfortable good power, really enjoyed riding it. One thing I thought was neat about it was a digital display showing what gear you are in including Neutral, and 1 through 6. It was stolen back in the 1980s and to this day I still remember the serial number by heart ❤️. Tried to find it with no luck. If I should ever see it I'll know it's mine by the S.N. .

I had a twin disc GT550A that did the same. The left alloy cylinder liner had twisted, which was a production fault on a few hundred of them, until Suzuki sorted the production fault. I had to replace mine, which cured the problem.

I remember you too Keith. Believe it or not I've still got my bike, albeit its sat under a cover not started for over 27 years. It broke on my last outing around 94 or 95 and since everything else in life got in the way! One day I'll get it fixed and on the road again 😉

Just ran across this video. Just fabulous. I had a GT380 (Black w/gold stripes) that I bought from a dealer in downtown Norwich, 1976. I long ago parted ways with it but truly wish that I still had it. Terrific motorcycle.

My brother had a 1976 black & gold GT380M, but sold it in the early 1990's. It was immaculate, despite having 44,000 miles on the clock. I ported the cylinders, fitted K&N's, jetted it to 120 mains & installed Serval expansion pipes. It outran a Honda NS400 on the M11, back in 1988, coming home from the anti-motorcycle leg protectors protest in London.

I had one brand new in 1975, had a great time in the famous summer of 1976 on it. Bought a new GS750 in 1977. Got this one in 2006 for my 50th, it didn't disappoint after all those years.

Ah yes the Suzuki GT series of bikes. The 185 250 380 750.what classics they are. The smell of the two stroke and that rumble of the engines.... I remember them fondly. Like the CB series of Honda in the 70's great bikes... Great days.

Same bike same colour from new. One problem it would scrap the exhaust system and centre stand on the road going round bends and lift the rear wheel of the road, in the end both pipes on each side had large flats and started to wear through. Should have brought an RD 350 really.

Did the Tre and o2 eliminator work? Mine is surging and cant keep it at a constant speed. Thinking of getting shut as it does my head in and dont enjoy riding it.
@keithtaylor9303 жыл бұрын
Yes, totally transformed the bike. Before the throttle 'pickup' felt very on or off, especially pulling out from junctions. Now it responds to throttle input more presisely.
@simonwolfendale7903 жыл бұрын
@@keithtaylor930 yes, say if im doing 30mph, it like bucks as though the throttle is on and off all the time, sometimes its really bad. I bought o2 eliminator off ebay 2yrs ago and didn't make any difference at all. I took it over alps in France 2yrs ago and hardly touch it since. In fact it has no mot on it now, that how much it bothers me. Its a k8 2010 plate and only done 11000 miles.
