Instead of tagging the tile and then needing to check all tags on the scene and make sure you're using unique tags with every single tile, wouldn't it be easier to just set a variable for that tile only? For instance, I do alternating triggers by having a "jump to landing" with a variable as the landing and then within each landing i just set the variable to be the opposite so next time that tile runs, it goes the other path.

I know this doesn't deal with this video but been watching your dnd session videos in 3d and wanted to ask how your record them? Monks common display doesn't seem compatible with 3d canvas.

We just took several recordings from different perspectives (The DM and several of the players), and then edited them all together based on which view looked best/was looking in the most pertinent place. A fair bit more work than just one big recording, but no extra modules required.

Is it possible to know the size of the modules? I was having trouble with the Towns module (it wouldn't finish) but my server host told me it was because it exceeded by memory limit. Thanks. I guess I either need to upgrade or go back to self hosting.

This is an known issue on Forge's end that has to do with how the files are unzipped, transferred, and cleaned up during the installation/update process. Normally the Towns and Premium modules don't count against your data limit (all the other modules do count against it; those two are special), but during this process the files temporarily take up more space than normal. It's been a thing for a while but this month in particular it seemed to affect a lot more users. The current workaround is either to uninstall and reinstall the modules and possibly re-link your Patreon account with The Forge, or to install the modules via manifest link each month.

Beautiful video on how to create traps, bellnel video you talk about being able to insert damage, where should it be inserted? Clearly only in the case of the failed TS. I had tried to insert a perception test to find out the trap but I think something didn't work because it crashes the. I would like to be able to create a trap tile that: asks the PG to try to detect it, if he fails he switches to damage and/or altered status but if he discovers it asks to try to disarm it. If it succeeds in defusing it the trap deactivates , otherwise it does the damage. Can you point me to whether you have made a video that covers these topics or could you make a basic one with these mechanics? It would be nice if there was an animation via sequencer as well 🤔. Thank you

And if we're taking requests, I'd love to add in other boat options. My players are sailing across a giant sea in the underdark, it would be fun to let them wrest control of the ghost ship from some incorporeal, underdark denizens... But also grateful for what exists today :)

We are overdue for our next shipment of ships. But if you check your scenes, you can find the ghost ship or the ice galleon, both of which are good to battle, and then you can use the cleaned up version in the prefabs for their conquered vessels.

Around 21:40 you spawn a MATT rowboat, move your player token onto it and then when you move the boat all the tokens on it move with it. I don't experience that when I drag; is there some token attaching magic I need to perform? In the video it happens seamlessly.

It might depend on which boat you are spawning. It's got to be one of the prefabs (not just a tile in the Virtual Directory), And while most of the prefabs have it, some of them don't, which is a special region attached to the boat that tokens can stick to. The only module you need is Mass Edit, which you should already be using if you are spawning the boat. But after you spawn the boat, go to your Regions level and make sure there is a region over it. If you're still having problems, let me know. or if a particular boat is missing a Region attachment, let me know too.

@@Baileywiki Ok, I now know to check for the region, so that's helpful. I wanted the boat to be larger, so I scaled the boat larger, but it did not scale, nor move, the corresponding region. Is there a preferred way to scale the tile so the region mimics the growth/translation?

I am not using the newest version of Foundry (running pathfinder 1e), it looks like the SONNIS GDC isn't supported for older versions (10 and lower).

I barely have enough time between sessions to prep the next one, so I haven't wanted to spend extra time updating versions. I'm still running v10 😬 But I'm also starting to run into more issues that are likely solved in future versions (or more likely: replaced with different issues), so I think I might take the holiday hiatus and finally buckle down and do the update. This video came at just the right time!

They are supported but the import file is in the Baileywiki Cabal Dungeons module in the top-level folder, called dd-custom-themes.json. You'll want to import this using Dungeon Draw's import function.

You say in the video that you're using the 5e system, but you don't tell us how to swap to different systems. I'm trying to make this work for PF2E, but the animations are still only for D&D 5e! How do you switch to other system? I saw the foundry page you told us to check out, and I found PF2E there, but no guides on how to swap between 5e animations to PF2E!

Hi! Great tutorial! Helped a lot but i have a question. Is there a way to make lighting source be visible from level to level? For example. I have a watchtower and a lamppost near it. The light from the lamppost is not visible from second level. Tried to change the elevtion of the lightsource but if i change it to 11 or more it just disapears completle. The whole lightsource object.

The light will only be visible at levels that it stretches across, so try setting that light at 20 height or infinite height. Or alternatively, if you need more control, create multiple lights on top of each other at the different levels.

Your diorama system looks really great and promising! I hope the next release will include a lot of 'bare' tiles, maybe colourable, so they can be used to quickly make a varied terrain - rocky, sandy, loamy - and vegetation can then be added afterwards. I'm kinda partial to desert/badlands as my players have indicated they want a middle-eastern theme for the next campaign... Looking forward to it!

I have a question or suggestion maybe ? The platform itself is constantly evolving and adding new features, and there thousands of community mods / premium mods etc. What mods have become no longer viable / outdated and replaced with something else / core functionality ?

I don't suppose anyone knows how to get this working with Cyberpunk 2020? I made some weapon effect macros and they work fine. But I would like them to be automated when the player uses the weapon. How do you add the macro to the weapon and will it even do it? When I add it nothing happens. I know Cyberpunk 2020 is unsupported but I was hoping there'd be a way as there sometimes is with these things.
