It was a sunny "blue sky" San Diego day for me in 1996 when I was driving out of a Tower Records parking lot with my latest CD purchases (prog rock) and this song was on the local radio station. I was stunned. (a) It's Tori, but not her music, too upbeat. What or who then? (b) its "techno" but musically sophisticated and actually GROOVES. WHO MADE THIS? I found out some up and coming electronica prodigy BT composed and arranged the song. This changed my musical trajectory forever. I went out and consumed his debut album IMA, and became a super fan after that. His next album ESCM was like multi dimensional compared to what he did on IMA. I was ecstatic at this whole new sound, but I couldn't find much of a "tribe" online about BT at that time, so in 1997/98 I ended up starting the first BT fan website, as primitive and lo fi as it was ; )
