I want to create my own independent country and one of over a million reasons why is in order so that in this country, (1) all people of all sexes (including both cis men and cis women) will have the legal right to choose which form of bathroom to use, and (2) A certain form of bathroom will be legal and actually exist in this country. I prefer to create this country on a planet that is uninhabited, has never been inhabited, but is inhabitable to humans and has no human-eating monsters. Please give feedback and please reply.

Actually, Asgardia may end up recognized by the UN in a couple of years due to some of the laws which allows for such in the UN. How do I know? I'm a Parliamentary Member within Asgardia. I've been a member since Agardia started. :-)
@DiscoverXMedia3 жыл бұрын
Recognition that will get them equal vote in the UN congress?
@BridgetKF3 жыл бұрын
@@DiscoverXMedia Well, as an equal vote within the UN, I do not know. However, there is a section within the UN which recognizes micronations. If Asgardia is accepted through that route, and in time we may actually be, then we'll be recognized as an official nation, albeit a micronation, by the UN. We are, however, recognized by the International Astronautical Federation - IAF. www.iafastro.org/ If you'd like to know more about Asgardia, our web site is asgardia.space
@DiscoverXMedia3 жыл бұрын
In general the UN recognition is quite a complicated topic. There are also some states which enjoy a lot less than full international recognition, or even states which are not UN members despite substantial recognition by sovereign states such as Taiwan A Micronation recognition can really change things up for communities who want to make their own rules. The main reason for denial is the conflict over the land, which is not a problem for Asgardia. I would really love to see it happen
@BridgetKF3 жыл бұрын
@@DiscoverXMedia Btw, you got something a bit wrong with your video. While some do claim the satellite as our "domain", we acknowledge that we do not have an actual "domain" until the first colony be it on the Moon or Mars. And we are working with other space agencies to achieve this goal. We are also looking at building a space station larger than the ISS that will allow for simulated gravity as, as everyone should be well aware, there is no way to have a healthy pregnancy, or birthing, in space without that due to the problems caused by microgravity - i.e. "weightlessness". There is a push within the Parliament, and other areas within Asgardia, to allow for Asgardia to purchase, and retain, physical land here on earth in order to build launch sites instead of relying on other nations for such, but that is currently in the future. We have over 1 million followers - people who signed to the web site but didn't pay for membership, and several thousands of paid members. And yes there ARE benefits to being a paid member such as a magazine subscription, recognized by the IAF, and we are currently working on putting together an accredited K-12 program of online classes with professional instructors from around the world.

The fact that there are so many micronation projects around the world implies one thing: the current system of dividing up all the land of the earth into political states is flawed. Can a state exist if its people refuse to obey its leaders? Can a people from different locations form a nation, if they share a cultural heritage together? Why are so many people stateless? Why are some states unrecognized in the UN? A thug can become a controller of a state, and other states cannot do a thing.
@DiscoverXMedia3 жыл бұрын
I think that you came up with one of the most important arguments! That is true in so many ways The question is why do we even need countries? Is that for people to be able to identify themselves with similar people, same ethnic? Or is it the need of some people to dominate over other people?

There’s one where you’re wrong. Some micronations (and alot) claim actual land. Not Paper/Internet.
@DiscoverXMedia3 жыл бұрын
You're partially right. It was mentioned earlier that Micronations are geographical regions that claim to be independent states, but no one recognizes their independence. So theoretically you can say that they exist only “on paper” (like a Declaration of Independence), that no one recognizes
