You really captured the essence of Labyrinth with these miniatures and the board artwork, Johnny. Exceptional work. My children and I absolutely love it.

Amazing work! I have been watching a variety of videos with so many artist working with different mediums, from styrofoam, wood and now clay sculpturing. I am excited but in the same breath overwhelmed with so many options. I have been collecting already made miniatures for the past 27 years, its refreshing to find videos where you can create your very own design. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge in sculpturing and hoping to find your book to help get me started in making my own designs. Thanks again, Dominic.

Is it me or is this channel dead? Last video was 5 months ago with comments turned off….maybe cause people are having difficulty receiving products they’ve paid for. I went to the site and it said no longer taking orders. That was short lived.

Is there an official list of colors? All the pantone codes floating around are taken after the wood stain is applied.

I would love to see if there was some kind of community support for this. Where people can submit their own designs or post them. And you sell those designs and a portion of the sales goes to the model creator. I think that would open up an immense amount of variation in the designs and make the project allot more connected to the community. Just an idea though, your choice XD.

I really enjoyed the video! You have a great attitude, and i found you through a video to do with your labyrinth build! Would you know if the plasticine would be able to handle being set in silicon to make a mould? I'd love to have a try at this style but have an idea in mind I'd want to replicate, and I dont have access to a 3d scanner & printer.
@BajkonurBobby Жыл бұрын
I realize it's years ago, but who knows? Perhaps it can be helpful: It should cast wonderfully in silicone. Obviously it depends on the level of detail on the object your casting as the clay is hard but not completely solid and you'd have to get it out of the mould. If there are small fragile parts like fingers etc. it could be tricky. Otherwise "nothing except silicone sticks to silicone" so that should be fine. Do be careful with the molten plasticine though as it can get extremely hot. And if you melt it in a microwave oven, even more so as it can melt from the inside and surprise you gushing out when you're handling it. 👍

If you said that the items cost a few cents to make on Adam Savage's Tested video, why are pre-orders for $200+ per item? I understand organising/logistics/shipping costs but surely not that much
@JimInziello4 жыл бұрын
You are paying for the labor of mold making, pouring, extraction, clean up on all the seams, and then everything else. Also, you are paying for the original design and sculpting time.
