Too high an idle, this old bikes idle between 500 to 600 rpms, if you still have it check other videos to get the idea.

it just hurts my feelings to see it idle so fast becouse you are going to blow it it you keep it up you will hear knocking first,than it will blow you should know this you are an old guy

Its a VERY NICE resto-at least on the outside, and I must coorect my last statement-That thing was idling about 2000 rpms, at least, too high, you are going to get about 10000 miles on that engine if you treat it that way....

WOW!!!!! Yall need to learn a bit about old BMWs or at least a little about old bikes in general....you NEVER let an old aircooled engine idle that high(about 1000 rpms too high)for andy length of time when cold. Pluss there is no reason for that thing to be half that hard to start....Rule number 1 about any machine-learn how it operates and how to operate it PROPERLY.....
