@@TheDanieltyler No the globe is a scaled map of the earth and works for everything. There are no accurate flat Earth maps. Not one. And the Gleason map that I see in this video is a globe projection map. Gleason himself said that.

After all of these years some basic and logical and practical questions have yet to be answered: What known physics would allow a flat earth to exist? Why can nobody draw a simple scale map of a flat earth? Why must all flat earth claim require complete faith in impossible government conspiracies? Since both the geocentric and the heliocenteric models did not consider Earth as being flat, what working model supports a flat earth? How is it possible that we are using tools which work great on this planet but which cannot function from a flat and stationary planet? Plausible answers could offer support for a flat earth. Ignoring such questions will only strengthen the skepticism of the flat earth narrative. But, if making friends and having fun was the goal then the flat earth meets such as this one would be a win.

@@TheDanieltyler If Earth was flat then there could be plausible answers offered for the logical and practical questions which I have presented. However, such questions seem to chase off the flat earth believers. They choose to ignore and deny the facts. As for winning a flat earth debate, first the flat earth community should offer the verifiable facts and the evidence which might support a flat earth. This would allow a debate of the flat earth.

I'm not a flat earther by any means, but I am an amateur astronomer. You can't really see the curvature of the earth as a pilot, if you could this wouldn't be an argument. You can't even realistically see the horizon curve. Why does make you any authority somehow? The fact that you don't know that makes me extremely skeptical of any "information" your going to give me.

At an altitude of ten kilometers (which most commercial airlines reach). You’re experiencing, at a horizon distance of 300 kilometers, 3.2 degrees below the horizontal. You’re using a small window so it’s difficult to see that curve. Another explanation would be to use markers to show course correction over distance due to the curvature. So yes, as an aspiring pilot you can most certainly look at the curve. It’s just not so pronounced.

You do realize that all of the instrumentation in every commercial plane on the planet takes into account the circumference of the earth to travel, right? So yes, a pilot would know. Please do a little research.

@@crouchingtiger2870 it takes that information into account on a linear basis which would still work with a flat model, this is why as the previous comment stated they must constantly self correct for displacement due to a flat interpretation of globe model. The point to make here would be that the mathematical precision in the orbit rate of gps satellites wouldn't be possible if they were simply traveling above something and not around it.
