part 2:49-6:35: in the block diagram, I believe more understandable consider the actual values of input and output instead of previous ones; so, if we define the input as r(k), the output as y(k), the output of the gain block as z(k), the time-domain equation is: y(k) = r(k-1) + z(k-1) = r(k-1) + 0.95y(k-1).

Is it possible to eleborate a bit on the reference feedforward when it changes fast? Would a proportional term as in a classical PI controller do the job? Then the complete system will become a combination of a classical PI controller and SV compensator. Would this work?

Since integral control already establishes zero steady state error it is hard to understand what a feedforward gain would add to this. It seems to me that it would be unity in all circumstances.
