My Addiction Level 1 - playing MW2 for the first time at my cuzzins house Level 2 - bought my own ps3 for my mum to say I can’t buy COD, I had to get Aunty to get it for Christmas for me Level 3 - watching videos on Road to masters on league play and watching CWL or MLG Level 4 - played on every game for the next 7 years until I realised how Shit these games are chasing the feelings I had when I played black ops 2 and quit cod Level 5 - came back 2 years later and played vanguard which hooked me back in with how buggy and stupid this game was but realised how sweaty every game was can’t play to relax u gotta sweat ur balls off Level 6 - I suck at every other game I try so I keep crawling back to the old reliable to get disappointed by every shit title they drop that feels like a cosmetic shop that is completely broken Level 7 - 90% of the time I hate my experience playing call of duty but every now and then I feel ecstasy and I’m suddenly feeling like I wanna play COD when I get home from work

I got into call of duty when I was 23... Modern warfare 4 just came out on the Xbox 360. I wasn't allowed to smoke in my house but I positioned my TV so I could sit on the steps outside of my bedroom door and chainsmoke while playing... The first call of duty. I did not want to prestige at all so I will forever be 55 with no prestige in that game. World at war. I started prestiging... And then I ended up getting into Counter-Strike around the time modern warfare 3 came out. I put it aside for a little bit and then I got Black ops 2 when ghosts came out for the PlayStation 3. Because I didn't feel like paying for Xbox live.... And that gave me something to do while my wife was sick with misery with our firstborn daughter. As long as I got her the comfort she needed, she sat around and watched TV and I played Black ops.

very real. back when black ops 1 & 2 were out this was definitely me. well…not the sick gaming chair & setup but the countless hours & waking up & wanting to play cod all day. it’s the competitive nature of the game & wanting to be the very best. comparing stats with ur friends. but truthfully competitive cod is extremely hard to break into & that’s really the only way being a cod sweat might be justified. Sure, playing some games in ur free time is totally chill. but when it becomes a real addiction, we need to take notice before our physical & mental health decline

This is it! I‘ve been at it since 2010. Played some BF too, but CoD stuck. I can’t stop. It helped me through rough times whilst I was in therapy. And to this day it still helps me get through. It is what it is.
