highlights: I pick up from where I left in previous video, by night. After a few more battles and some long inventory management at Horus, dawn breaks through. 26:20 Ra finally shows up by dawn at The Temple of Osiris. gorgeous, immense scenery by dawn 27:22 I move giant cat Subira around for awhile so flatlanders can have a bit of an idea of the scale involved 28:40 check that scorpion blood on my blade 29:25 check the extra Q3 detail 32:44 Subira, like any cat, requires enough attention 33:00 putting that massive statue in context 33:40 finally checking what this area is about and a weird surprise it hides. I take too much time trying to figure it out to no avail... 39:45 checking previous cleared area after a secret chest 40:29 Subira got stuck there but will show up after I enter the hideout 41:22 I waste that move with no enemies in sight and unaware it consumes 3 charge points. Fight doesn't go well against higher lvl foes 43:10 Ra's fully up now and we're heated up against some snakes 44:50 warding off some shiny black scorpions 45:35 Subira gets butt massage 46:00 hornets quickly dispatched 46:30 just a leisure ride by the vast sand sea under broad daylight 47:25 check my shiny armor and full body avatar 49:54 I take a long time trying to pull that shield slingshot move, unaware that it requires 3 charge points and I wasted them all uselessly before... RTFM, damnit 53:50 let's fight again! We have better gear and unlocked skills and I pace my actions with some traps... 57:40 gate is finally open! 59:05 I try to show Subira the giant in the distance, but she only has eyes on me 01:00:07 check that shiny copper ore and my armor under Ra's power!

Highlights? Too many good moments, but summarizing, after trying to progress main in unsuccessful fight by 15:00, I wander around aimlessly trying to level up by fighting in dozens of scattered enemy dens and overall just enjoying my journey with my car girl Subira. I take a good look at the beautifully designed and streamlined inventory and lore interfaces, like by 18:40. At 32:00, trickster Loki sends me to a very weird dimension. I don't understand how we survived a battle against 22 level up soldiers at 34:00 but died to 14 lvl before. 40:00 riding along and watching my big cat girl run around... 44: Medjet misses me at 44:40 I can tell. 46:00 checking my shiny collectables and their related lore. 48:00 the glass is always full. 48:26 sharkboi. 48:50 full body. Last Guardian Trico's friend brings me food at 49:50. 51:30 I wake up to a glorious sunny day at Horus's house only to find out the desert is still at night... 53:16 checking new gear with Ptah... 01:01:00 Riven is here. 01:10:45 underground water pass with snakes and crocodiles...

game still looks cheap as hell for its price. visuals just look cartoony. we need this game to copy star field. these planets look ai generated at this point. it should be but maybe they should tweak it.

highlights: 12:30 I find a wonderful paradisiac planet and land near a beach to check out the waves... 16:00 I build a Nautilus for underwater exploration 16:08 wireless streaming hiccup 20:45 time to call my ship and find another spot 22:28 landing on sunny side again, among hills 28:00 about to ride the motorbike. Crazy jumps in the bumpy terrain... 38:50 time for some spelunking in another planet

*I have played this game to death on Quest 3 & to a lesser extent the glorified DLC that is Retribution. I recently purchased a VR Ready gaming PC & have to admit the graphical jump is insane. I use Quest 3 exclusively for my PC these days & best part is. The cost is no where near as steep as some would have you believe, £800 for my entire setup & I was dreading having to use a Link cable forgetting that I'd purchased the Windows app on Metas store.*

@@Stuart267 yeah, those cards are like 2x the price here in Brazil. No, thanks. This is running now with better graphics than back on Q2 and years back when started playing it on psvr 1. I'm fine, dated graphics feel nostalgic and still smell brand new for someone who've been playing games since Atari - in fact downright surreal that they've basically crammed a big box PS3 into a headset barely larger than a ski mask... I do have a laptop and it runs games not on Quest. If native tho, I don't care for this extra friction and the annoying tweaking involved

highlights: 11:40 starry expanse again 24:40 prison island 25:37 water shader stereoscopic issues won't show up in 2D video but it looks like water is floating above the surface, other places have no issues 28:50 suddenly Catherine! beautiful hair, legit good facial expressions 30:22 I try to cheat by jumping, but no good 32:50 mindless fumbling with funky doorbell mechanism 43:33 I finally stop stupidly trying to lineup bridges by eye in starry expanse and learn to actually use the rotating map tho I still need to remember which sphere goes to each place 52:50 finally out of starry expanse but leaving block puzzle for later 56:00 I notice a door on the other side and wonder how to reach it 56:40 I guess I can just turn the vehicle 58:00 golden elevator 59:26 come back here, old man 1:01:30 another vertiginous ride 1:05:00 submarine ride 1:06:19 check that water wall 1:07:49 ladder shenanigans, gotta wait hands to go yellow 1:13:00 shutting that mouth has consequences down there 1:14:40 a villager disturbed!

I'm pretty sure I hate the new cartoon style characters. That exchange at the beginning, with the character taking the book, was shockingly bad. I'm a huge fan of the original game. I was REALLY disappointed this didn't come to consoles... until now. It really has lost something in the move to 3D.

that's the quest version, the PC version looks way better. Sure would have been cool if the characters were like in the remake of seventh guest though

they don't look cartoony up close. And are full of vividly good facial expressions and mannerisms, plus they follow you with their gaze. 2D video captures would feel really corny here...

It doesn't match? Guess its not worth noticing than if i haven't noticed it yet nor will i look for useless flaws that doesn't change anything only flaw for vr version is involving the boundary parameters on the quest that i had black screens that i had to close out to fix 3 times@stilldreamy5181

Then again I'm not deaf trying to figure out speech by focusing on the lips... it blows my mind how we're living in an age of miracles when you can step inside Riven using nothing but a $200 VR headset powered by mobile chip and people come up with such BS arguments about irrelevant details like that...
