What a buffoon. Bows are seriously reinforced because of this kind of situation. Smith and Andrews even asked Murdoch why he decided to turn. Several deck officers testified to that. Just a couple years earlier there were as many as 3 ships that took serious bow collisions and limped to port. IF, titanic stopped all engines and ordered all watertight sections evacuated and sealed perhaps 300 or so would’ve died. But that isn’t 1700. Not that it matters now. Just saying this myth has been debunked by several engineers. Including the engineer that designed the bloody ship.

The footage being sped up isn't a bad thing. In the novel, Titanic shot up like a bullet and climbed out as fast. So great work overall.

It’s one of 2 things, the lower bow that you see getting buried in the sand is either crushed due to the impact, or it dug into the sand and may be in good shape.

Do you have a version of this where it’s just yours on fullscreen? Like just recreation. It would be cool to see it without the comparison.

You forgot the 2019 roblox titanic theory where the back of the stern sinks by a bit for a second then after a pause the stern rises vertically and sinks in slowly with no dramatic affect like sprays or splashes pretty much and the air pressure causes air to violently spray out of deck and the ship starts spraying water just as the superstructure of the ship sinks underwater

for those wondering why we shouldnt raise the titanic: 1. its a gravesite for the people who died on that night and should rightfully remain untouched out of pure respect 2. it would cost a shit load of money that we dont have 3. the sand is the only thing holding the wreck together so it would fucking disintegrate

why is it in 1 piece? And 2ouldnt the funnels not be attached 🤓🤓🤓
@zacharylewis28026 күн бұрын
The reason it’s in one piece is because of classism from 1912. The testimonies of 1st class passengers who were already in lifeboats who couldn’t see the ship break in half because of just how dark it was were prioritized over some 3rd class passenger who got pulled out of water after the sinking who was still on the ship when it split apart. So until Robert Ballard discovered the wreck in 1985, the official version of events was that it sank whole, and the ship splitting in half was a fringe conspiracy theory. As for the funnels, there’s no excuse besides the visual. The first three funnels were known to have fallen off. The fourth one is debated nowadays, but it probably broke off as it fell to the ocean floor.

If you are wondering why the footage is so sped up, it is because there was no way I was gonna bake a 3 minute fluid simulation. That fluid simulation alone was 300 GB. So yeah, wasn't really possible to do it without speeding it up. Hope you guys liked it.

Hi Tamity, i have a question: What are your thoughts on new research about boat 10 which suggests it was lowered later than prevoiusly though, after Baoat D began to lower? I agree with it as it explains Edward Buley and Frank Evans accounts. Great animation as always, keep up the great work :)

If you are wondering why I've decided to make such an unfair comparison, it's not because I thought my version was better. Of course the 1997 version will be better (higher budget, mixed with practical effects). No I just did a comparison to make the video less boring lmao. I knew if I just decided to compare the 2 videos it'll get more views than the other videos recreating the million dollar shot. It does in fact work so I might do 2 more recreations from other movies with the same format.

The fact that the movie was made in 1997 is insane.
@markcannatarofilms20 күн бұрын
I never realized before seeing this that in the 1997 version, the shadows at the very front of the ship are facing a different direction than the shadows falling on the rest of the ship from about the smoke stacks and back. I'll never unsee that now.
@Redwood_Distributions22 күн бұрын
The thing about million dollar shot in the film is that they used a mix of miniature and CGI. So no matter how many times someone remakes it on computer, it will never look as realistic.
@markelder716023 күн бұрын

I am pretty sure that the actual boat in the 1997 shot is a miniature pass - not CG. The characters walking around deck were obviously CG but to me the lighting on the boat looks too good for 97 rendering.

Jurassic Park T-Rex was made on windows 92 and to this day all the VFX shots looks 100,000 more photo realistic than those crappy new ones made on top of the line computers 25 years later.

i am a blender artist myself and love the titanic. I can't imagine how long it took to render/bake everything. excellent job what are the specs on your computer? I have a 3080 ti with a ryzen 9... 32 gb ram and I don't think my computer could handle this.
