Oh, Nathan - how wise you are and so forgiving. You have opened my eyes and heart in so many ways since I came to Portland 8 years ago. I will miss you in multiple ways - Trinity will always be a special Trinity but your Deanship has left much to treasure and remember. Joan Brinkley Smith

What a BEAUTIFUL message!!! Thank you, Dean LeRud. I live in NJ, but visited your church some years ago, because the friend I was visiting in Oregon worshipped there. Many blessings to you in your new endeavors!

We just got home from the 7:30pm service and it was absolutely incredible! Thank you to all for your efforts and energy that went into creating such a special night. The music, the authentic and heartfelt message and being in that sacred space and feeling the love and energy of the togetherness of all the people. My husband and I said it truly made our Christmas. Grateful 🙏

Woke up with a holiday blues today and stayed in bed and worshiped at the church of the holy comforter/duvet. I missed the service at my parish in Palm Springs so I tuned in to the live stream from Trinity. Beautiful and meaningful as always. Thank you all, and best wishes to Nathan.

This recording and last week's sermon were recorded in the ambient mode, and not from the priest's microphone, so it's not that clear. Just FYI. Great sermon!

I thank you for the privilege of obtaining wisdom and wit from you from afar (SoCal). I will miss this. In some ways I have considered you to be a remote pastor to supplement the lean clergy staff we have right now at my parish. I am confident that God through the indwelling Spirit will continue to bless your work. Doug Hezlep

Nathan, you've given so much of yourself to this role, this church family and to me. I remember when you first joined the Trinity staff, and you gave us hope. I remember you being named Dean, and you gave us compassion, empathy, and professionalism. I remember you leading three family funerals, as well as presiding over two weddings in the course of a few years, and you gave us support, respect and inspiration for the changes in the road ahead. We are all incredibly blessed for having you at Trinity, and we are forever grateful for all you've given. Thank you, my friend.

Last weeks words moved me to get off YT and finally start attending in person. These ones, so soon after, broke my heart. You will be missed.

Dear Nathan - Even though we no longer attend Trinity on a regular basis I remember the lunch we had together at our home when the search was on and David told part of the search committee (on the golf course) that they need look no further than Nathan. He was right. God Speed to you and He will watch over you wherever you go and whatever you do. Jeanne

Fascinating, I live 30 mins from Waltham Abbey, I will have to visit the Lady Chapel. Henry VIII was a monster, one of the most unforgivable things he did, below the murder of his wives, was to destroy a huge amount of beautiful music.
