This is a very stupid argument. They both contain the same active drug caffeine. Most popular ones contain about the same as coffee. Sometimes it varies but like you could just drink more of the less potent coffee and get the same effect. They are both adenosine inhibitors because they are both share the xanthine stimulant in caffine. Large doses of caffeine are also dopaminergic though, just like amphetamines. Coffee is very much still a powerful stimulant. There are minor additives like taurine maybe in energy drinks but most definitely not 20x more active. Things aren’t as black and white as you’re making them out to be.
