You can still buy the bike new. The company that bought EBR changed their name to Buell and they are still selling the bikes although in a low volume. www.buellmotorcycle.com/hammerhead-1190

you don't have to just buy the bike, one has to be able to maintain them, and dealerships appear to be lacking, not everyone is a mechanic, most riders definitely aren't. Here in europe , where no one can buy a new one(say an 1190rx) and make it street legal, we have the old ones, xb's and 1125's, they are still running strong and have a strong following. We love the american Ducati's. V
@timmythemouse64392 ай бұрын
@@tontonsatan3093 Buell is a bit of a cult following. Most of the early followers are getting old and a handful of newcomers like the bike. My 1125R was a joy to ride. With a race ECM and tuned Barker exhaust, the bike was light, responsive, and a lot of fun.
@tontonsatan30932 ай бұрын
@@timmythemouse6439 There is hardly anything that feels like handling one. Either you love it and remember it forever, or you just pass. Most pass. Btw, in europe, young people don't ride bikes, the average age of a bike owner is 43, youngsters mainly ride scooters and the like.

That's not a Falcon.
@timmythemouse64397 ай бұрын
You and I know it is not a Falcon, but legally, Ford put the Falcon name on the lower trim level in 1970. Due to new safety laws, the traditional Falcon ended and they tried applying the name to the Torino. It was called Intermediate Falcon. It did not go over well. Rare cars today. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Falcon_(North_America)

Considering the speedos are off on bikes roughly 10 percent that’s just barely over 160 mph 😂 slow for a “sport bike”
@timmythemouse6439 Жыл бұрын
The speedo off by 10 % would put it at 203MPH as easily at 160MPH. The bike has been tested with radar at 185MPH. It is not slow. Anything that runs high 9 second quarter mile is not slow. 🙄

Not to brag, but I bought one of these RS's last year and it rides exactly like it looks in this video. It's a seriously good bike-not super fast up top compared to today's bikes, but it murders anything out of a corner and the front feels like you can do no wrong on or off the brakes. There are still a few of these new in the crate, and they cost less than the suspension would if you had to replace it. Mine was cheaper than my R1M... and a whole lot more fun to ride.

Have a 2014 RX, love this bike. I bought it in 2016 and it had 460 miles on it. I also have a XB12Scg, but these two bikes with very different powerplant is not comparable at all.

I have an 1190sx full dean adams exhaust, tune, 4 up rear and tuned suspension. I actually have a carbon RS tail section and airbox cover on it. It's one of the best handling and fastest accelerating bikes I've ever ridden and I've had just about every liter bike made. I feel like 0-130/140 not much will hang with it which in most places and tracks is all that matters unless very high speed. Like u said especially out of a corner it pulls so hard and corners on rails. Sounds awesome as well. Great bikes

@nunyabidness92573 ай бұрын
@@sullythenoob2523 As an only bike? Probably not-finding people to work on the bike will be an issue if you don’t do your own work. They don’t have too many known issues, but if it’s your only bike you could be down for a while looking for a shop to get it worked on. You don’t say which BMW you have, I’d recommend trying Speed Triple 1200 RR or RS. They are a lot better than they get credit for and are fantastic street bikes when you aren’t hammering it.

The Continuous bad Decisions by Harley-Davidson are mind-boggling! After going through bad years of bad quality and horrible profits of the late 70s and early 80s they put their loyal customers on a two-year waiting list to buy a motorcycle. They refuse to acknowledge the benefits of liquid cooling. They forced their dealers to build multimillion-dollar extravagant showrooms. They refused to allow their dealers to sell other motorcycles in their showrooms. They get rid of Biell even though it has been showing profits and bringing younger buyers into the showroom and just won a championship that put them on the world map. Now they finally come out with a adventure bike that not only looks ugly as sin they jump straight into the large displacement expensive adventure bike that no one in their right mind would buy not knowing the longevity and rideability of the bike. The reasonable thing to do would have been to start with a mid-priced mid-sized 650 to prove their capability first. I don't think many people are going to jump into an $18,000 ( or more) experiment bike. Probably end up being more like $28,000 if you want extras like Tires and Brakes and a seat LOL. Harley-Davidson the company I love to hate and make fun of because of their ignorance!
