Great to hear you had a much better weekend - sounds fabulous! Katie’s merch looks great and love that trans flag magnet 😆 🏳‍⚧ ❤. While there are a few annoying chaps amongst the Lardy crowd, most of them have been awesome when I have played in the lard zones at Cancon; awesome to hear they were up to their usual high standards! The tease of further collaboration is brilliant to hear, too. I hope to pick the pirates up at some point to add to my mostly blood and plunder selection, and I wonder if working with the masterstroke lads to make some of the kick arse and / or formidable women from the late medieval / early renaissance might be something for down the track (Lucrezia Borgia anyone?)? Your short videos on women in history sounds great as well!

Asking people to work FoR EXpoSUrE is not on, in any industry. It's been a meme for such a long time that one would have hoped that in the miniature space, consisting of so many small businesses, nobody would employ such practices. Shame on them, and well done for sharing your experience from the 'content creator' side at the event. Especially disappointing to read about the organisers' reaction afterwards to criticism.

First and foremost, you owe nobody anything that causes you stress or otherwise damages your mental health. Anyone trying to force obligation on you is an arsehole. Smacks of entitlement and lack of empathy on their part. Sod ‘em. You mentioned maybe not speaking up when something bothers you. * If that’s just to avoid situations that’ll upset you, fair play. * If just to avoid upsetting that person, please don’t feel you can’t, because that’s a tactic that’s been used to shut women up forever. Keep being wonderful, Bad Annieo.

To summarise the rambles at the end of the vid: - None of the guests were paid or expenses covered, we knew this when we agreed to it. - We didn't know that the public would be charged for the services we were offering, of which the money would go to the event. After speaking to some of the customers afterwards, they had assumed the money was going directly to whoever was hosting the workshop. -There was no specific charge for my talk or panel, but it did require an £18 ticket. I had thought it would be free but only the trade hall and Art in Miniature screening areas was free, which was in the smallprint. I didn't know when I was asking customers to come support me that they would have to pay £18. Neither did some other guests, who's fans had to pay an additional £30 for their event. -We were asked to pay for food and drink at an evening event where we were there as entertainment for the £150 ticket holders (I don't know if any of the guests went, I think one might have, we didn't find out how much we were expected to pay) - I was worked less harder than other guests as I physically hid for parts of the event. Some of the other guests spent a lot more than myself in attending and paying for materials for classes. - Most of the team we interacted with were absolutely lovely and helpful and there were some great folk there. - We were provided free tea, coffee, water, fruit and crisps and a green room, which was lovely, but it was rarely used for various reasons. -My small mention of being uncomfortable (to the point of ill) triggered and email and several comments saying I had upset everyone, rather than asking what that could have been. Which then made me talk more publicly about some of the issues, though not that specific one, which I now feel too intimated to bring up, as do other guests. - There are other issues but I highlighted a few that were mentioned in the stream that can't be disbelieved. - I really did want to brush past it and part ways politely, but it's too late I guess! Though I'm hoping to draw a line and move on, and each concentrate on our own projects. -There's a relatively small viewership of this show, and I ask that nobody target the event, organizers, or anything like that and joins in with the moving on (and cool, happy stuff!). -You all rock, and that includes most the people involved with Griffcon too, and I'm sorry if any of this has been upsetting, but there were upset guests and I have a big mouth sometimes. x

You do so much for this hobby, and your talk was very much a highlight (even if my bookshelf is now shuffling nervously). Thank you!

Just to let you know, the venue isn’t a hospital the NHS use the second floor for district nurses admin, a medical company hire one of the conference rooms during the week for the eye screening. The venues primary use is for business, there are over 40 businesses in the centre alone.

I'm sorry you are having to put up with BS and fallout from simply existing and also having the temerity to speak up when cerrtain people behave like arseholes - I'd hope that if those people had more cups of chamomile tea, hugs and relaxed days of painting tiny things, they might not be such giant flapping sphincters. However, it was encouraging to hear that Mates and Minis was somewhat restorative (I love the trans slugs! 🏳‍⚧🌈) and also I think the new sculpts look amazing 😊 PS Tine is brilliant, loved her Juggz episode - I'm hoping @JuggzthePodcast invites you for a chat too
