I never thought of needing insurance for something like this... How would you even go about finding insurance and what kind?
@FacePainting101Күн бұрын
Insurance is very important. First you need to look what country your in and what is offered. If you are in the USA the most popular one for face painters is Beauty and Bodywork Insurance

So I have a question I don’t know if your still replying to these comments but will I need multiple of the same brush because I’m painting different people faces and you don’t want to get germs on them or how are you supposed to clean them fast enough
@FacePainting10120 күн бұрын
Great question, It is always good to have at least 2x of your MAIN brushes. These would be a 3/4 flat brush, #2 round, #4 round You want to clean your brush after every use but swishing it in water and a cleaning agent, such as Brush Bath by Silly Farm.

Can you please tell us how much you charge for face paintings?
@FacePainting101Ай бұрын
when it is a Pay per face (PPF), it depends on the venue and where you are located in the US or different country, but my prices go anywhere from $5-$20. $5 for a quick eye design to $20 for a full face design

I have a question that none of the FP KZbinrs have mentioned. 😅 How do we take breaks when doing an event that you’re at more than 2 hrs? What’s the best way to go about that? Do we even get breaks? I’m starting to think we don’t get breaks because all videos I’ve watched talk about everything, except breaks 😅

Great question. For me, if there is no line that's a break. Otherwise when you are a solo artist breaks are almost impossible. Usually it's really hard to close lines, and get people to understand what a break actually is, so I avoid them all together, unless I'm working with another artist. In that case I will tell her, "Hey, I'm going to take 5 or 10min break, when I get back, you can take your break".

Hello!!!! I wanted to start off by saying that you are super talented and underrated. You're super easy to follow and you give great tips especially for someone just starting out! And speaking of just starting out I'm trying to figure out what kind of gems and gem glue I should buy and I had a few questions... Ok so first of all do the type of gems I use matter if I'm using skin safe glue??? Like can I use craft gems? Also I saw that you mentioned the pink ybody glitter tattoo glue in other videos because it lasts all day but do you know if it lasts a little too long??? Like in case a parent asks how long the gem lasts or how they can take it off? Would a child be able to take it off if they wanted to? Or will it fall off on it's own? On another note, are setting sprays worth it? Should I invest in one and if so what would you recommend?? Thank you so much!
@FacePainting1012 ай бұрын
Hi Andrea, I am so glad you find the videos helpful. Here are the answers to your questions 1. Gems - any kind of gems are good, you can always start at the ones from the dollarstore, or from the craftstore, (as long as they have a flat base) 2. Ybody glue lasts long if the person doesn't sweat or touch it. The gems are still easy to remove with the ybody glue. I would NOT recommend craft glue because it does not stick well with greasy faces or even painted faces. They fall out quickly and the kid will usually start crying. I would avoid all that drama and get a good body glue. 3. I have never used setting sprays as I haven't come across one that is used by a lot of face painters that they rave about. If you want long lasting face paint that can outlast pool parties and a lot of sweat then you would want to try waterproof paints by ProAir.

Hi. I was wondering what kind of table you use for this one. I know that the other sizes have legs.
@FacePainting1013 ай бұрын
For me, using a 3-4ft table does the trick. It fits the mini CNG, along with face paint idea sheets, tip jar, and other things you want to place on the table. Just make sure it has adjustable legs.

Here as a volunteer face painter for my church harvest party! Our normal painter (amazing artist who now bakes) was unavailable last year so i volunteered and not one to do things by half, got sucked in. Finally bought some split cakes this year and now i find i need sponges, a rinse station, primary colors and probably glitter!
