There is another valve for the secondary ac that works the rear of the car. It’s behind the third row on the driver side but you have to remove the big panel between c and d Pilar to get to it.

I can’t find the exact one anymore. If you do a search on google or ebay then you will find other spoilers that are similar.

I had to wiggle it very carefully. I used a lot of patience.

It’s fully gutted from the headers back. 2.5 inch then it opens up to 3 inches a little after the X pip and 3.5 inch tips coming out

What’s up, yeah they are asking if you have keyless entry because some explorers do not so you want to make sure you get the one with keyless entry. Therefore you do have key fob if card on yours. Good question.

Did you get it fixed. It just started flooding again so I had to go get the holes cleared out. Water leaked in the car from the dome light but everything still works.

@@koldbrew117 no but haven’t tried what you’ve done yet. I remember taking it to different shops and nothing. The got bad that the motor for the roof stopped working, messed up the horn and floor vents don’t work. From what I’ve searched that the exit is behind the wheel cover and gets blocked by the insulation. They really have a terrible design on the explorer and I love the car. Whenever I do get another car from ford, im not adding sun/moon roof

Damn bro, that sux. I got lucky that nothing got ruined from the water. Try to blow out those vent holes with compressed air. Then pour water in the hole and look at the bottom to see if it’s going through. You can even tell at the top if it goes in sometimes but yea you are right about this being a terrible design flaw.

It’s hard finding a regular c300 diffuser with out having to convert to the c63 diffuser.

@@loselefttightright6526 Nah, mine drinks coolant like Hennessy Cognac. I have read where some of these Eco-Boost V6 have head gasket leaks and pass a little coolant through. I have to top mine off monthly. I will be addressing this with F O R D the next time I roll in for my 75,000 mile service.

V6 all day. I was thinking about building it up to eat 63s but then I don’t like the 6 so much. Only reason I got it is I rather drive a 6 speed then have a V8 or else you would be looking at a 63.

Damn, that sux. I did fix the leak. First thing you want to do is check the little drain wholes at the corner of the tracks that the glass slide on. Mine where clogged pretty bad. My car even flooded inside. I had to use a Hight pressure air hose to blow out the debris that was clogging the whole.

Hey brother, thank you for the comment. I did not have any issues when installing mine. It sounds like you should check the connectors that go to the actuator, check that the actuator is installed in the proper position and bolts are tight and it also maybe a bad actuator. Sometimes that happens when you order a new part. Also is the car in park when you get the transmission not in park warning? That’s the only unusual one.

I followed everything to a T. I ordered Dorman part number 937-675, installed it all, doors unlock and lock via remote. Won’t unlock or lock via keyless. I’m thinking either the part is wrong or defective, although this one says for keyless entry and FOB card. To compound my problems now, the rod to the exterior handle broke off at the connection point, now i have to order a new one.

How difficult is this? Ive already replaced all of my lock actuators on 4 doors thru an extended warranty i luckily purchased from ford for my 203. This is the 2nd time I’ve had this issue on the driver door. Unfortunately, my mileage is high so I don’t qualify for the ford csp program for the door latches.

@@christinalebaron2141 honestly it’s not that bad. It gets a little tricky when trying to disengage the control rods and getting them back in but patience is essential. I ended up taking mine to the local garage to have them complete the install after I snapped the holding ring of the control rod to the exterior door handle. I got frustrated with it after that due to that new wrinkle, and after cutting my hands all to hell. Turns out the parts I ordered were correct and I just need to take the car to the Ford dealership to have them program the system with the new actuators.

@@christinalebaron2141 all in all, ~$200 for parts and $500 for labor (for both doors) and additional parts (exterior door handle assembly). Plus I just got them to do an oil change too since the car was there in the shop. Cheaper than the dealership.

Yes I did. You have to get an O2 sensor delete or else the check engine light will come on for emissions.

I gutted the entire exhaust. You can actually get a high flow cat exhaust system that is still legal and won’t mess up your emissions.

Yes but it will take some work because the C63 is a little bit longer by a few centimeters. That engine needs the extra room to sit into the engine bay but it can be don’t with the c300. You will have to swap out the drive shaft and differential as well and figure out how to bolt up the transmission as the manual transmission may not be a direct bolt up. It can be done tho. Mercedes’ has other V8 engines that will bolt up to the manual transmission and you can just modify that v8 to beat the 63.

It depends on you brother. At idle it’s not loud at all. The sound comes at about 2k rpm’s and higher. Then yes it gets very loud. You will need a nice stereo system if you want to hear your music. Me I love the sound. I drive it like I stole it!

You did a lot already but if that doesn’t work then get an ac shop to vacuum all the crude and air out of the system. Mine wasn’t working right so after I did that, it started working better. I also had them charge the system with the correct amount of Freon and it blows real cold now.

What’s up @dawn keeb It’s a great car. Very solid platform and reliable. I’m not sure how reliable the newer Mercedes are, I haven’t heard good things about them but they look a little nicer. If your uncle is selling at a good price then I think you should consider buying it from him.
