Heavy gloves to break down an AK bolt??
@haasofdetroit9828Ай бұрын
Drench the assembly in PB Blaster and smash tf out of the retaining pin with a proper punch and big hammer. Support it with a few pieces of 2x4 so you're not beating it against it floor/table. If you don't have a punch use a 1/16 drillbit (it will break a few times but that's OK). The retaining pin came out with a LOT of effort. I appreciate the instructional part of the video but the execution is far from reality (my AK is ~1 year old, was cleaned often, and has ~500 rounds through it). Thumbs up, thanks for the vid.

Thank you for this video. Years ago, Forgotten Weapons did a video on the function of the CZ52 and I could not figure out for the life of me how the slide unlocked based on his explanation. Ian even responded to my comment in further detail and I still didn’t grasp it. Its only seeing this video that I realize this pistol is a true roller locked short recoil action in the tradition of the MG42. I always looked at static photos of these guns and tried to understand them in the context of an HK style roller delayed blowback action, and the parts just never made sense. In pictures, I never could see that the barrel actually reciprocates. Thank you for finally making me understand these guns after so many years.

Is it possible to bend the magazine spring break straighter and reinstall it so as to still function as a guide for when inserting magazine and still have free magazine drop?
@stoilalex2429 ай бұрын
Talking on Cz-75 Compact. Yes. There is factory flat straight spring that replaces the two place bent one. Button still pops out the magazine with quarter inch when you hold the gun horizontally and secondly the magazine falls free if you press the magazine button in shooting position. Mounting it to the frame and main spting as it must be is little harder. P/N 0430-0330-04ND.

if your pistol does not fire then inspect firing pin if its intact and also firing pin chamber for dirt, old lubricants etc... also try using another type of ammo as some manufacturers use stronger primers and even guns in perfect condition cant set of those primers
