I picked up a bomma thrust last week to ride with my son and teach him how to wheelie, you think bicycle wheelies help you with grom circles or is it completely different?
@KEEPIT_ROLLINКүн бұрын
Hell ya man that’s awesome! The circles are very different but I’m sure it helped at least a little bit. Very different weights but getting to understand dipping sideways the right amount for sure.🤞🏼

@ridinggravity703 thanks man I appreciate you. I’m not sure how low I’m running it but I know it’s a good amount below the recommended. If it’s wet at all I also do lil burnouts when I pop it up, I think it’s these damn perelli’s I honestly hate these tires.😂

Love the lot vids bro. Gonna try and wheelie my mt07 these days finally after 2 months practice on my Grom. Gonna try first gear and drop it back a bit hopefully it goes well 😅
@NoisyTownRider8 күн бұрын
Also totally agree w you about the Instagram 1k chasers watching them makes me cringe and worst part about it is people find high speed wheelies impressive when in fact all they r is dangerous unlike slow speed controlled drop backs which take skill 🤙
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN8 күн бұрын
That’s awesome man good luck on the MT07. And yeah the Instagram stuff bugs me because they make it seem like it’s cool to not progress, just do reckless “wheelies” over and over with no real understanding of bike control. All good though they all gonna loop eventually since they don’t know how to actually wheelie.😂😂
@NoisyTownRider3 күн бұрын
@@KEEPIT_ROLLIN Hey bro i been practicing these days getting the hang of the mt07 its been going great ive been past balance point plenty of times now but its nothing like the grom. When i go past bp and let off the throttle completely the engine brake is so strong it pretty much slams down. How do you ride out at bp, do you always have the throttle open slightly and modulate with the rear brake? Or do you have a tune that helps with the engine braking
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN3 күн бұрын
Yeah I usually let off the gas a tiny bit once I hit balance point but not too much because of how intense the engine brake is. I let off a tiny bit and apply a tiny bit off footbrake. I 100% agree nothing like the grom i have no clue why everyone says it’s just like riding a big grom, I have found 0 similarities other than the simple fact that they are both motorcycles.😂😂
@NoisyTownRider3 күн бұрын
@ Thanks bro next sesh im gonna try and not let off the gas as much. People also say raising the idle could help

Love the Grom and 07 vids bro. Quick question how long did it take for you to transfer the wheelie skills from the Grom to the big bike?
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN15 күн бұрын
Thanks man! I waited until I could scrape the grom because that proved to me that I had a perfect understanding of footbrake. Then I moved onto the big bike wheelies and got balance point figured out on it in like 1 or 2 lot sessions.👌🏼

@@KEEPIT_ROLLIN how long it take you to scrape the grom?
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN15 күн бұрын
I think it was like 9 or 10 months from when I got the grom. I was kind of a baby about it and then once I did it I realized it wasn’t bad at all. Just gotta throw it back and brake when you feel it touch.🤞🏼
@NoisyTownRider15 күн бұрын
@@KEEPIT_ROLLIN Cool man. Today I tried to scrape my Grom but I fell over the one side I think I was going too slow. But I can ride out wheelies and drop back no problem maybe I'll try to do that on the mt07 soon. Definitely have foot brake down at this point

🔥🤙🏻 what are the best wheelie progression steps for the XSR700/MT7? Saw you used to do mostly 2nd gear @ ~25mph and now 1st gear @ ~15mph. Thanks and your wheelies are amazing 🤜🏻🤛🏻
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN29 күн бұрын
Really appreciate that man thanks. I was told that first gear was too touchy so to learn in second but once I finally made the switch to fist gear I realized it’s actually way easier. My tip would definitely be just keep popping it up at like 15 over and over and train yourself to step on the brake when you get to high for comfort. Slowly work your way to balance point and learn to tap that foot brake, you’ll never loop if you just keep it in your head to press that foot brake. It’s a huge mental challenge for sure, took me a lot of time on the grom to push pass it.🤞🏼

Finally a video of someone doing proper wheelies on this. Going down the rabbit hole on xrs700 & 900. I see impaktech subcage on your bike but not on their website. Seeing mixed answers if the subcage from fz07 works on this. If you can do me a solid on who makes the cage, subcage, handbrake bracket? And any other mods like clear air or idle adjuster or whatever you can think of for this bike so I can be sure the parts I want for the xrs700 are available. Obv I’m looking to do a stunt focused setup like you. That would be super cool of you! Thanks bro
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN29 күн бұрын
Yeah I experienced the same thing trying to find anyone who rides em how I want. My crash cage is a Cocks Stunt Parts cage for an MT07, and the subcage is Impaktech also for an MT07. For the cage I had to drill the holes just a tiny bit bigger but it fit perfectly other than that. The subcage fit barely wonky but just had to pull really hard as I fit the bolt in. I don’t have a hand brake or any other stunt mods that I can help with, still trying to get my setup dialed. I can say that I’ve had no problem with needing any sort of clean air mod, bike loves being on one wheel fs. Glad you like the bike and glad I could try to help.🤞🏼💨

All im seeing in your videos is exactly how im learning to wheelie with my grom and then transfer it to my mt07. Im pretty good at foot drag grom wheelies now but working on both feet up to balance point and such! You are doing awesome i really dont know why your not getting any traction
@KEEPIT_ROLLIN2 ай бұрын
