The Lidless Pot
Hello! I'm Heather, author of the blog The Lidless Pot, which is how this channel got a name so seemingly unrelated to its content.
It's been my lot to test the adage that “every pot will find its lid”. My blog and these videos were born figuring out what to do with that. An effort to bloom where God planted me by sharing what he’s given instead of pining for what he hasn’t.
I’m a self-taught pianist who's learned enough, through much practice and what I can only call natural instinct, to embellish from a hymnbook. My videos aren't professionally recorded. Certainly not professionally played. You’ll hear background clicks and creaks and yes, an occasional sour note. All on a piano that likely wants tuning. But if Enoch and Moses with their slowness of speech could lead a city to heaven and all the children of Israel from bondage, it’s not beyond God to use these hymn arrangements to touch someone’s heart.
It's my prayer that, together with their inspired words, they’ll touch yours.
