I want to believe most fixed couples don't just/only do fanservice, bc most do like working together and grow closer over time! But at the end of the day, it is a job, and that's something some fans don't (want to) see. So, even if they genuinely like each other as people, fanservice (or promoting their ship) is part of their job.

OK the commentary is a bit off (the read comment at the end). I read the novels first and then the anime and then the drama. The drama is closer to the novels in my opinion. The storylines and characters in the novels are complex, detailed and bounces around in time quite a bit. Definitely think the drama was better.

I've watched agents of shield the entire way through and fitzsimmons for sure becomes the heart of the show! In season 1 they kinda start out as side characters and comic relief of the main cast but become so much more then that as their characters grow along with their love story. Their best friends to lovers arc is so well done where they have known each other for such a long time that they already have such a strong connection before it ever becomes romantic. Iain and Elizabeth are two incredible actors as well and have great chemistry.

The Ultimate Staring Contest livestream was the first Smosh stream I ever caught live. It was simultaneously the worst and best thing I’ve ever seen. 😂 Chanse trying to do the Dune scream was actually like 5 full minutes worth of painful buildup and it was sooo funny (as well as disappointing) to see him just utterly fail at it after all that time. 😂

Personally I'm not surprised the Shadow and Bone universe ended up getting cancelled. Season 2 was so much worse than season 1. Above average for a show, but that's still obviously going to cause a drop in viewership. But the decisions they made were just baffling. And the Crows plotline was frankly pointless past episode 5. Matthias' storyline shouldn't even have been in the show because absolutely nothing happens. They weren't supposed to be in the story, so they had to find them something to do. And what they decided to do was ridiculous. Jesper was also worse written. And they absolutely coasted on the love the book fans had for Jesper and Wylan's relationship and didn't put any effort into actually writing it in the show and it ended up bland, rushed, forced and chemistryless (this especially rankled me because their relationship in the books is my favourite). The Crows in general aren't allowed to develop because they have to be ready for where their books start, so they just kind of stagnate. The Darkling does nothing the entire season, they skipped some of the best and most interesting parts of the Shadow and Bone books, presumably to shove more unfitting Crows stuff in (the Crows shouldn't have been in season 2 frankly. They should've gone straight from season 1 to the Crows spin-off). And even if we were to get a Crows spin-off, they gutted most of the emotional core of the Six of Crows books and transplanted it into Shadow and Bone, meaning we'd be left with half a story for their show. It was a mess of bad decisions and poor writing.

Although these were great, you should just watch the Untamed. It's really really great.

Just came across this. 12 Monkeys is the best science fiction series I have seen, and one of the very best of any genre. The ending is absolutely amazing. No loose ends whatsoever in one of the most complex plots you can imagine. And so many twists. Just surprise after surprise. Nothing is as it seems. Watching it can turn into a compulsion because no matter how many times you watch it, you notice more things. The writing is superb, the acting great, the concept is wonderful. Damn, now I'm going to have to watch it again. After retiring I took up writing science fiction, and I tell you I still don't know how they wrote the series, it's so tight and intricate, nothing wasted, full of foreshadowing. And it isn't very long. Highly recommended.
