Very nice and I have the same truck I am going to do this for. I think I will stick with the 2 x 10s for more support as I may carry some heavy items on top of the platform when traveling . Thanks for the measurements for the short bed F 150 as dimensions are the same I think for my 2017 . They make some very slick tape / material you can put on the bottom of those slides to slide out even easier on your spray in bedliner - UHMW. I wanted something that I did not have to screw together and this is it I believe. I may decide to hinge the a shorter back extension section to also add as a drop down over the draw/slide openings Let me know if you have any modifications you would suggest

Very nice! I think I might borrow your borrowed design. I've built a few other sleeping platforms for past trucks, but they've been a pain to remove when I want the full truck bed back. Curious what were the things you found that could be improved upon? Are the vertical support pieces wiggly at the bottom where they meet the bed or are they locked in by the bed liner grooves?
@theH2experience
@theH2experience 2 ай бұрын
Hey Thanks! Good luck on your build. Couple of things right off the top. I would have gone straight to the 1X vs the 2x for my base supports. They do great, the lock in the top and in the grooves of the bed, no issues there at all. I learned a few things on making my cuts more precise as I went , that is just learning in general. The other thing is I would have paid the extra $50 for the higher grade of plywood. What I have works just fine but the step up would have been just a bit better.

@theH2experience
@theH2experience 3 ай бұрын
@@jeffreyelliott622 there is often a combination of slope, under water features and the constriction of the water. There are large wide sections of the river that are relatively flat and calm, then it can channelize, all that same amount of water that was in the large wide section now has to go through a smaller more restricted area. Combine that with different under water rocks and features and the flow becomes much more intense. Thanks for watching!

@@theH2experience Yes, what you called a 360 roll. Falling on offside and sweeping under boat to get to onside
@theH2experience
@theH2experience 4 ай бұрын
@@Nick_Metz just making sure I was understanding correctly. To be honest that was one of the harder things for me. I just spent time in the pool upside down and worked that motion back and forth until I ran out of breath. I would try and roll up, if I did not I just came out caught my breath again and tried again. Moving the body to the other side as quick as you can should get you past that break point. You have to try and get your blade so it cuts through the water and does not fight against it. I will say, you can ask 10 open boater how to roll and you will most likely get 10 different answers. Finding the thing that clicks for you is what matters. If you can find a pool or a good pond or lake to set up in and just hang out upside down and continue to roll on that offside and practice what you can to get it across to the on side. If you have someone with you that can stand an help flip you over that is good as well. Put in those reps. It sounds like if you can get it across then you will be fine. Don't be afraid to be slow and meticulous at first, get it down and then start to try and speed it up. Hopefully this is a bit helpful and if we meet up on the water I'll do my best to try and help as well!

We leave soon on a vacation to BVI where I plan on taking video of us on the different islands there, as well as a few shots in hover mode on our Catamaran while moored or at anchor. I know, I know, I won’t be letting it out over water. As long as it’s downward facing sensors see something to give it a sense of how high it is, it will be fine. The Catamaran is 42 feet long and probably thirty feet wide-plenty of surface space for a hover for sure. I won’t be flying it in any appreciable wind, that’s for sure. There are adapters available that allows you to connect two poles (must be longer for obvious reasons) to make it a A-shape to eliminate center pole to maximize usable space. First off, thank you very much for this video. This is the type of the video that is ACTUALLY useful, not those videos that talks about features only and call it a review. Hope to see more of these types of testing videos. OneTigris need to add damned snow snow skirts. Also, they should do what they do best and make a clone of A-Frame poles. Basically just like the ones from SnowTrekker hot tent. For those who want to priortize strong wind strength. Way it is,,, this tent is not safe in windy condition with hot stove running. Even more so due it being non-canvas. Also, instead of a internal ridgeline loop, it should have some sort of vents on top peak which can dual purpose to pass through a ridgeline so that user can place this over it. I think that would improve overall strength as well, again during high winds. Also, a youtuber who used to be in bed with OneTigris and also collaborated in designing this hot tent jumped shipped to be in with Pomoly bed have collaborated in a similar design hammock hot tent but using a canavas as well. Different name but something about the name feel similar, haha.
