Definitely tighten all the bolts before driving. I had a shop replace my EGR the first time it went, and they broke one of the bolt threads off in the block🤦🏻♂️ I went through 6 of those stainless steel flex pipes before I realised why it was failing. With only three bolts holding my EGR (which were loose too) the movement kept causing that pipe to fail. When it fails it starts off cracking and you can smell exhaust fumes in the cabin, until it finally cracks all the way around the pipe and you loose turbo boost, plus it sounds like an engine with the exhaust removed! The best thing to clean the core out on the EGR is to soak it in a bucket of water with caustic soda in it. Leave it overnight and it will come out clean. Cheers

Have you found a solution since making this video? We have futon mattresses with dips. Using a yard stick, across the dip helps to locate the contours of the dip. I layered wool batting with the smallest piece in the deepest parts and larger upper layers. It defi 10:22 nitely helped me sleep better, but it didn’t help on my husband’s side. So i think the lowest areas needed more support. I’m in the middle of experimenting with trying to make a pyramid shape in the sagging areas by cutting layering on the mattress cover a combination of 1” organic latex topper, 1” wool batting to fit the dips. I plan to cover it with a fitted sheet to hold it in place.
@DossingAroundInBoats3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the information, you sound very dedicated to getting a decent night sleep. Lol I’ve lived with ours since the video. I’m might open it up and pop a load of foam in the sagging areas then a nice thick topper over it. Think we’ll probably end up replacing it though next year. Going to do more due diligence when it comes to choosing a new one though.

I just did the same now, easy peasy, and the engine is a lot more sound at least in the testing bucket. Tomorrow will test on the lake. I love to have a light engine with 5Hp. I use it in a skiff for fishing.

Thank you so much for this video. Just finished a job on my passenger wing mirror today and really happy with it and your video really helped. I got some great little wire connectors with solder and shrink wrap that you connect using a lighter. Never joined wires before and that made it very easy and was amazed that everything worked when I’d finished!

@@DossingAroundInBoats Hi. Does the nozzle just happen to fit the push/push valves exactly (or don't they need to?) Just asking cos as I have dewalt batteries already I'm wondering if the DeWalt compact leaf blower will fit into the boats valves. And these blowers will deflate as well? thanks

the one I’m using doesn’t need to fit exactly into the value. It basically sits on top , you just need to pop the value button to the flow position. Works a treat!

I have a White shark 2.3 meter with a 9. 9 hp Evinrude two cyl twostroke. It does 14 knots on full throttle, and keeps plane down to around 10 on half throttle. Two adults in the boat. Might be faster just one person. If you want to keep weight down, buy a two stroke. It also yields much more power over the entire curve up to max rev where it meets the four stroke.
