This is done much too fast to be able to understand, without going back over it, and over i and over it. please re do it at a much slower pace. What does HVAC stand for.

So, my heat pump/ AC was off, but it kept buzzing (outside) what should I do? I followed your directions but it’s still buzzing. 😰😰😰 Thank you if you respond. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

It may be thay your colored wiring is not sending the unit the appropriate power to your fan. Turn off your breaker immediately and make sure your wiring is appropriate connected.

I checked every setting you went over but a lot of the time walking by a register I still feel the fan on even all heat and cooling is off. This is a new house and the main reason I got this Ecobee is because the cheap thermostate did this and now now change with this one. I just can't figure it out.

Im so disappointed with Ecobee 😢since we installed it. Fan never stopped, and now, in winter furnace, no turning on 😢 I really regret buying it. 15 years in this home, and we never have any problems with old thermostat.

I have the ecobee 3 lite and I'm having this issue. I've fiddled with it for days trying to get it to turn off I've tried your settings as well. I wonder if the technician who installed it made an error. Also I don't know if I have a boiler or furnace (could that be the cluprit?)

Mine certainly installed it wrongly when it came to the AC wiring. Took me a year and lots of inflated bills to figure out neither he not the HVAC maintenance guy understood their own tools. A friend and I ended up figuring out and then telling technician likely cause of problem. Trust me I am not an engineer but common sense and logic can solve many problems.

My Ecobee is like this one but updated today and now it's just showing icons across the top and will not respond to my touch to get setting to appear just keeps scrolling icons across the top of thermostat 😢

Ecobee sucks! Check your wiring configuration settings. Your installation technician may have been to lazy to set them.

You guys are all stupid and lazy don’t wanna read the manual, go to the 3 lined Burger Menu on the ecobee, then hit the gear button at the bottom right side, scroll down to installation settings, hit equipment and under furnace change it to stage 1

I cannot switch my fan back to auto using the app after doing a hold. This function seems to have disappeared from the app. I can only turn the fan on. I have to go into the thermostat menu to set it back to auto.

So if the fan is on 0 min it should be off all the way correct? My fan is on that setting and is still running every few min. What should I check next?

If it's on "auto: at least 0 min per hour" then the fan should only come on when the thermostat calls for the heat or air conditioning to come on. Beyond that you're probably in the territory where you should call an HVAC professional. Good luck!

I had the same issues. I went into the preference mode and disable Heat Smart Recovery and Cooling Smart Recovery. This seems to have finally fixed the issue of running the fan. Hope this helps.
