Good on you so we are three months behind watching this, but it doesn’t matter you have achieved so much with so little help. Do you use underlay under the carpet in your country ? personally speaking laminate all over is ideal all over the bottom of the house it’s fantastic in summer for walking on and it doesn’t collect dust as does carpet. The herringbone looks lovely by the way 😊

In uk England you put a membrane down then the laminate flooring goes on-top it’s a thick plastic stops damp between the floor and the boards a form of insulation. 😊
