"I hate those pesky plumbers" - King Koopa. I guess that also lead to Dr. Robotnik saying "I hate that hedgehog!" Well, "The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3" and "Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog" were both released by DIC Animation, with the former under license from Nintendo and the latter under license from SEGA, which also left me to believe the foreshadowing of the idea of a partnership between Nintendo and SEGA, leading to the "Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games" series!

Bowser had a wife named Clawdia Koopa who is only mentioned in passing. It briefly talked about her in a game magazine. It's implied she is dead.
