If money was not an issue. Would you prefer Ugarte or Zubimendi? I feel a Rodri/Busquet type of defensive midfielder is what has been dictating modern football and if we want to get would not be Zubimendi a better signing? I am not a tactical expert so maybe if we make Kobbie and/or Mount focus on the pass we need a better defender only partner. But I am afraid we are leaving a great opportunity pass as the creative defensive midfielder are just a very few out there.

I think alot of people got hoodwinked yesterday. Betis were passive in that first half which is why we had so much space. Its why Eriksen and casemiro looked good. Top teams in the premier league won't give you that type of time this is why yesterdy game should not be used as a measuring stick. If you have time to watch liverpools game against arsenal yesterday you will see how far off it we are. The minute Betis grabbed 2 back they started being more ambitious and the game opened up. It was actually good that we had the likes of mount, maxi and collyer on the second half because they had legs to deal with betis, casemiro and eriksen would have fell apart. On Amass, he moves like a winger NOT a fullback, in the actual position he plays does he have the fundamentals? positioning, anticipation, reading of the game? No. Thats what collyer does well, he doesnt have flare so fans think hes not good, what are the fundamentals of a midfielder? break up play, finding soltuons, linking attacking and defence, reading the game...he does all of that. Thats how you get systems to work, see Arsenal or city. They do the simple things, very very well creating repetitions. They dont have individual brilliance or flare, just a hard working unit of players with good fundamentals.

Yes, Mark is surely doing well monetarily with his multiple channels. But he’s entertaining and is genuinely happy when United are doing well. If he comes off as being negative there is definitely some basis to it. The club had been run poorly and is it’s now been over a decade since their last PL title. He’s also always been very optimistic about ten hag despite the ups and downs last season.

Mount, Bruno & Mainoo would be an absolutely disastrous midfield in the Prem. Its definitely not better than having Casemiro, who I don't think is good enough anymore. Mount can play instead of Bruno, well & Mainoo ok. Not instead of a DM. Mainoo can play as a 6 but also not as a DM.

I don’t get the Branthwaite HYPE, he has ONE season in EPL for a mid table team. On what basis is he worth 70 million? He is also 22 years old. Most top players have ripped him apart most times last season and we are expecting him to come to United and do better ? especially under the pressure of United fan base. We have to stop spending silly money on maybe/potential players. We already did that on Yoro, one signing like that is fine per season.

De Ligt is overpriced his wages are astronomical. We can’t take risk with an injury prone player. Mazraoui is also injury prone and will cost 12M-20M when he signed to Bayern for free.
