I'm the Trini (Soca Boss hat) in question here: Our comment on the growth of Nasty Business (under bouyon) is from a 1 hr episode where we not only made mention of BOUYON music but difference between bouyon and soca music. We also spoke about soca from other countries as well. As a DJ, I also play bouyon music too. Our concern is that we don't want Dominica and the Bouyon genre alone to be defined by nasty business. It's great that the genre is successful BUT it shouldnt be the only success coming outta Dominica.

I worked as a producer in Trinidad carnival for 12yrs and it's quite hypocritical from some trinis to Dominican music. Garcon they have nothing on bouyon music. Yes to Bouyon but an absolute NO to Nasty Business being played in public spaces and school buses . Nasty business lyrics are raw and uncrafted with filthy lyrics . No decent government should allow children to be exposed to this music. How can a young teenage boy show respect to his female peers when adults have made it ok to verbally disrespect females in the most disgusting way. Protect your communities and control the playing of Nasty Business music where it can be heard by your children and corrupt them .
