Most of the commenters here don't know what they are talking about. It's true that many similar videos on TY are far-fetched, but I have carried out many repairs just like this, and using the same methods without any problems at all. The only difference is that I took better care of the gear (using an angle grinder to spray the lathe with abrasive particles, and running the steady dry) and I took better care of myself, safety-wise. There are still plenty of places in the world where engineers are not just labourers who fit new parts.

O eixo maciço com quase 5 cm ele se quebrou agora você tem um eixo o com as bordas 5 a 6 mm outra parte do eixo rosca de parafuso 3 cm ambos rosqueando e com a solda no encontro vai permanecer oco apesar de ser parafusado vai quebrar vai quebrar depois da solda

He forget to put a fiber or a hard plastic spacer with the grease inside because the head will roll on metal only and it woun't last long this is what i thought.
