I was recommended a silk tassel bush for part of my yard but i was thinking this might be a good replacement because i like the way this looks better. is that a good idea?

That was the best explanation of aspen I’ve seen .. I live on 40 acres of mainly aspen in Montana .. I’m curious about the two different species ? There’s the squatter and the taller ..the black fungus as well of how to protect . Great vid

Don't take the warning about the sap lightly. I still bear the scars 15 years on, from weedwacking a large patch of these, shirt off and on a sunny day - it was not pretty !

I didn't realise until last week that we have a Mahonia plant at the front garden. Apart from jelly, what else can you do with the berries and you mentioned about the bark for medicinal uses, how do you make this? Maybe tincture? 😊😍

The reason they are called Salmon Berry is because when they are the color of Salmon eggs they are the perfect ripeness to eat. Their most tastey time. Only recently in the last 20 years or so has the name been given the wrong meaning. Awesome video though

They should have giving it a Native American name. Everything here has a European name but they live in America.

Devils claw is also good for low back pain! With Cats Claw being used for upper body (neck and shoulders) pain relief. Or is it the otherway around )? Learned the value of these two herbs when finally was diagnosed with lyme disease after 25 years of being undiagnosed. Love your video's!!!

Nice. Here in the UK we have Populus tremula, just called 'aspen'. Also clones and in modern times, not used for much. I wonder if the properties of timber and foliage are similar....

Just came across one of these today, and spent about 15 minutes using google to figure out what it is. It's late summer now, but it's got some berries that will ripen up in a week or so.
